    '81 Claud Butler Colstar Yumeya/DuraAce #035210 FINISHED p16

Re: 1981 Claud Butler Colstar - DuraAce #035210 Nice. And as long as you're keeping up the work, don't want you slacking now, your audience expects a certain standard.

Oops, it followed me home honest it did. Late 80's Ken James

No No No No No, I don't need any more bikes I really don't, but I always argue that need and want are such easily interchangeable words so that justifies it as far as I'm concerned. This is one of two bicycle frame manufacturers to hail from my childhood home of Ashford in Kent, the first was a...

    '81 Claud Butler Colstar Yumeya/DuraAce #035210 FINISHED p16

Re: 1981 Claud Butler Colstar - DuraAce #035210 Have I missed the final full on shiny bling build picture of your Colstar Mr P? I've had to refill the popcorn a few times now waiting for the grand reveal and its not doing my waist line any good.

RBotYear!!! Poll Up - All the 2020 Winners! Vote now!!!

Congratulations Old Tel a standout machine in a fine collection of machines. And if that bike could talk the stories it could tell would probably keep us all enthralled down the pedal and sprocket when we could get back into pubs again

Any 19th-Early 20th Collectors on Here??

Wow, both bike and box are superb but I have to say I feel like a small child or a cat now as I'm more taken by the box.

Raleigh Gran Sport 1983 - Bringing it back from the dead

Re: Re: Ooh that means proper commitment considering you were going to part it out and nice to see another one being saved whichever way you go with it. Not sure where you are in the country but you could try the plater in Hull that Peachy used recently.

Raleigh Gran Sport 1983 - Bringing it back from the dead

Re: Re: I'll offer the opposite argument and say no get it painted it just looks scruffy now and deserves better. I get the point of keeping the patina if its a unique race winning machine or has some sentimental reasoning but its not, its a mass market machine (albeit a very nice one) that's...

RBotM December 2020 - Open Month - Entries Open Now!!

As its December and its an open month I thought I'd go all Christmassy and what's more Christmassy than a BSA TDF under the tree? Its 1979 all over again only this time I got what I wanted even though I did have to buy it myself. Anyway ladies and gentlemen for this months competition in all...

    An Intervention....long overdue

Well Mr P you inspired me into having a long hard look at all the bikes in my garage with a view to having a cull for at least 3 or 4 minutes. Sadly that all went south last weekend as a nice looking Canadian Meile road bike popped up on FB the other day and no sooner had I seen it than it was...

NEW TI RALEIGH 753 40TH TDF ANNIVERSARY MODEL v.2

Re: Re: I did think I'd have a go at doing some with waterslide decal paper on my printer although I don't know how practical that would be or how well they'd last. I do repro decals all the time for models which get lacquered over but they don't go outside in the sun or rain.

NEW TI RALEIGH 753 40TH TDF ANNIVERSARY MODEL v.2

 See you set your sights too high, I asked for a BSA TDF back then which should have been a reasonable expectation, still didn't get it and yes it took me 40 years to scratch that meagre itch but I did get closer that Christmas as I got a nice shiny red Puch Prima 12 which is still better...

NEW TI RALEIGH 753 40TH TDF ANNIVERSARY MODEL v.2

Oh I don't know I for one have enjoyed the Retrobike Christmas Panto I mean it has everything, a meandering story line, an enormous volte face, real Ferrari's, far eastern knock off Ferrari's, TDF winners on horseback, a reluctant pantomime dame, a pretty lady for the dads and of course lashings...

    I wouldn't buy a electric car from

Re: Re: Its typical government kneejerk derived PR panic. Prior to April of this year the exact same Tesla Model 3 would have cost me personally somewhere around £650 a month in company car tax and at this cost the government were mildly confused when very few people were inclined to take the...

    I wouldn't buy a electric car from

To be honest I haven't got much of a view either way on this debate but reading through this thread the above statement on the first page did bring a wry smile. You see I have a Tesla model 3 as a company car which I got in April of this year, and because since April the company car tax rules...

1961 Claud Butler Super Coureur #9081 (Entente cordiale)

Re: Re: Has he started offering opinions on what you should or shouldn't sell yet based on what he wants to keep? In some ways I'm glad being a girl mine has very little interest in most of my hobbies and the bike I built entirely to her exacting specifications a few years ago sits in the...

    An Intervention....long overdue

I liked it when it was all stacked as separates, the hardest bit was finding a car with enough dash space to accept it all and the Pioneer silver stuff did look pretty. I'm sure I've got a pic somewhere with all the silver stuff in my E12, have to see if I can find it.
