    1982 Holdsworth 531 Special

Looks nice either way. You could put a threadless BB in it but what caused the ripple in the top tube? It hasn't had a front end collision has it?

Oops, it followed me home honest it did. Late 80's Ken James

Hi Robin We probably cycled past each other at some point back then, I lived a bit farther up Beaver road and then in Park Farm when I used to go into Kens shop. The other frame I will be keeping as well. I've had it a very long time and although it is a bit on the small side its not too small...

70's Europa but not the one most of you are thinking of

Well it does look a bit similar to other Technotrat frames I've seen around the seat cluster area but the lugs, seat stay tops and forks are different to my Europa and it doesn't look like any of the Europa's I found in my research, of course that doesn't mean that I found all the variations but...

Looking for a vintage steel frame (57cm) 1970's onwards

Re: Re: Easily doable I'd say I've sold a couple of good quality 531 framed, complete, fully restored and well equipped bikes recently for around that (one a little less and one a little more) so depending on where you are I would expect you to have absolutely no trouble with that. What sort...

1962 Claud Butler Cordon Bleu #14064 FINISHED Pg6

That looks very nice and its amazing I thought I sensed one when I logged on today, I can smell a rattle can finish at 50 paces Also liking @legrandfromage's shiny stuff, my inner magpie is also intrigued as to what its going on?

Ex Moser team bike - mystery solved... ***NOW FINISHED***

That's lovely, I'd be very proud of that. I've got a lesser Moser of a similar age that I really must do something with.

Scalextric and other slotcars (with lot of pics)

Hill Street Blues anyone? I was bored at the weekend so I finished this 1/24th scale Chicago Police car, I've been slowly building it for a while but its done now.

Taking that last trip to the Vets.

You have my sympathies. It's horrible but sadly sometimes necessary.

Raleigh Gran Sport 1983 - Bringing it back from the dead

This is coming together very nicely indeed, sunglasses for viewing might be advisable at this rate.

1961 Claud Butler Super Coureur #9081 (Entente cordiale)

No reason really and not necessarily a VX, I just thought the SIS looked out of place with the front mech and the rest of the bike. You could go the other way round of course and I'm sure I've got a box of new SIS fronts somewhere in the garage if you wanted to even it up.

1961 Claud Butler Super Coureur #9081 (Entente cordiale)

Indeed, comes with age I'm told. I know its irrelevant really but is that a Suntour mech up front? If so wouldn't a nice VX or similar be more in keeping?

Oops, it followed me home honest it did. Late 80's Ken James

Thanks, I'm really pleased with it. I've had it out for a couple of short rides now and am really enjoying it. Its a keeper so it may get some upgraded bits over time (the seatpost has already been changed for a Campy one) but its not going anywhere

Early '70s Gitane Country CX (tentative build thread)

I'm looking forward to seeing this one come together so comfy chair pulled up and bucket of popcorn on standby

Mystery handmade lightweight - W.P. Newton?

Sorry can't help on the maker, some bits look familiar but not others. I have to say though its a nice looking frame and if it were mine it would get a suitably flamboyant paint job and be built up with nice period parts.

Nice to see that bike back out in all its shiny glory again.

70's Europa but not the one most of you are thinking of

Thanks I really enjoyed building it even though it is a tiny bit on the big side for me.

    1987 Specialized Allez Epic

I like that, very nice looking thing I tried that but as I've managed to take up two rooms of the house with different hobbies I was told two sheds and a double garage should be more than sufficient for my bikes.
