    1993 Klein Attitude Graffiti FINISHED.

I'm so torn on this. Without doubt that is a great paint job (who did that BTW?) but those old Kleins had the best paint jobs around. Either way it looks/would have looked fantastic.

Wanted 1" ahead stem, 120-130mm, silver, for 26.0mm bars

Not exactly what you are looking for but I've got a 120mm 3t (THE) which will take a 26mm bar but is for 1&1/8 steerer. If you could live with it you could shim it (which is what i've done with it before). Anyway I'm only looking for £5 posted to UK so it might work as a stop gap till you find...

    26" to 27.5" wheel swap?

Triggers broom theory is how i circumvent my promise of not buying a new bike although my mrs now considers a frame a new bike :(

    26" to 27.5" wheel swap?

Oh and incase anyone else is reading this for advice, don't do it with suspension forks. A heavy impact on the front can lead to the tyre hitting the crown, jamming the wheel and sending you flying.

    26" to 27.5" wheel swap?

I stupidly assumed we were talking dics, rim brakes bring a whole new world of pain to this and, at this point, i would ask why. If it's a classic retro then this is vandalism if it's not then just buy a cheap 27.5/29er. You can get them second hand quite cheap, probably less than the cost of...

    26" to 27.5" wheel swap?

Ha yeah, tyre choice is the thing that kills having a 26er. 27.5 with cross or road tyres are probably about the same size as 26 with 2.3" tyres. I've got 26*2.3 in my GT and there is already barely any spare room so running 27.5*2.3 is clearly not an option. So yeah, frame and tyre choice are...

    New toy, shiny thing alert!!

Super nice, I do like GTs. Always good to get a surprise bargain. I accidentally bought a Pace full sus a couple of years back for £200. Thought i would be out bid (and i'd promised the mrs no more bikes). Still, i'm not a gift horses dentist.

Decided to try out this road bike malarkey

Well I think there are 2 answers to this: 1 - Buy some new wheels 2 - Build a bigger engine :D Now that you have become a 'roadie' it's my duty to point you towards 'the rules' https://www.velominati.com/ You will see rule number 5 referenced a lot. Don't take them too seriously (like some...

Decided to try out this road bike malarkey

Woz I would generally agree that road bikes have a gear issue. Actually, no, all new bikes have gear issues, what's with those dinner plate cassettes on mtb nowadays? (Don't get me started on wheel size). I agree though most don't need 53/12. I don't often drop out of the 53 on my bike but i...

    Sold Vitus 992 Frameset

I'll take seconds if Magas doesn't take it. I was weighing up the values of 20% tax plus 14% import duty before (thanks Brexit) so it makes more sense to stay EU side. It's a shame but i tend to steer away from EU stuff now because of this.

Decided to try out this road bike malarkey

Looks a good bike to start though and a better choice than all the noobs i see on £3K worth of carbon as a first bike. I got into road back in the 90s whilst still racing mtb. I had older friends who were roadies and it seemed a good way to get fit for mtb racing. In later years it was an...

32mm tyres? This is now just a retro xc mtb with drops. 😁 Roadies don't need body armour, we have thick skin due to all the mocking from our mtb counter parts.

Sold Hope crankset, BB, tools, stem, pedals - REDUCED

BB standards have become a PITA. The BB cups are BB30, are the cranks too? I've never had BB30 but i thought it was a press fit standard. TBH I don't need the BB as i've already got a Hope one but if the cranks fit then i'd be interested.
