Really? This is more like it. Think about want you want you & your bike to do then build accordingly. My hack has a 7 speed 11-28t and a 32t chainring, it gets riden a lot when it's too grotty for the posh bike. Perfectly suited to my local loop.

Re: For what it's worth I had to have the drive side spokes replaced after a rear mech & stick scenario. My wheelbuilder did them one spoke at a time, he's been doing it for years and knows a thing or two so if it were me, I'd be following his lead.
