Ernesto's answering to the lightweight ...End of 80s beginning 1990s

Great looking bike. The photo is tainted unfortunatly. The Örn fra Herning consumed something other than a popular energy drink to give him wings.

A Retro Road bike with that can keep up with the modern bikes - advice please ?

"Not desirable??" you must joking!! In my opinion the alu/carbon mix frame is the most comfortable, value for money frame available. My Sintesi has a sloping top tube which possibly gives the frame a little more relaxed frame geometry. It possibly resembles a Giant TCR frame in that respect. The...

    Look KG 243

Nice looking bike with great components. I would stay with the carbon forks. If carbon fibre does have a shock absorbing characteristic then that's a very good reason to keep them. I have a carbon cockpit, apart from the saddles, on my two road bikes, for increased comfort. My frames are stiff...

1983 CINELLI Supercorsa Donna Red * ultra rare find *

Re: Really nice looking bike. Just one little thing though, the wheel skewers are on the "wrong" side. The locking wing should be on the left/non drive side of the wheel. Just sayin :) before you get hung out by the real purists. Regards, Richard Lees.

Re: Thanks for the info. I own/ride 2 Sintesi framed bikes that i've built up. My first one is an SP400,(i think, it's in the loft in a box & i haven't seen it since Nov) .The frame is Altec 2, non oversize tubing with 1" carbon forks. It's dressed up with Campagnolo components and Gipiemme...

    1987 Specialized Allez Epic

Re: Carbon frame collection. Do you have a Giant Cadex 980 in the corner of the room? Is it the naughty corner for badly behaved bikes? However, if it is a Cadex, how have you experienced the ride quality, comfort and rigidity? I've just got hold of such a frame but haven't started to assemble...

    HELP! to identify frame builder

Re: Have a look under the bartape. My suspicion is that it's a repainted Raleigh Rapide without the Raleigh headbadge remounted. The bars may be Raleigh stamped SR. The dropouts might also be Gipiemme. Don't take my word for it as i'm purely guessing. Good Look.

Twin Tube Claud Butler Built Saxon

Re: Does anyone out there know by whom the frame was built? I'm curious because Kelvin mentioned that it was built in Cardiff and i just happen to come from that region. I am only aware of C.W. Alexander and a guy who built bike frames when he wasn't repairing washing machines. It may be...

    Cycling footwear

Re: I thought i would attempt to clear up a couple of points regarding cycling shoes. They are designed and made for 1 purpose, namely cycling. They're not suitable for anything else. Expander plug for a 1" carbon fork

Re: Expander plug for carbon fork. Unfortunatly, the star fangled washer top cap is not suitable for a carbon fibre steerer tube. It has to be the expander type of top cap. Thanks for showing an interest. Regards, Richard Lees.
