Are you planning on riding the bike or is it going to hang on the wall? If you're going to ride it then you have to ask yourself if you can sit on your choice of saddle for 2 to 3 hours without causing discomfort. It doesn't matter how cool it is if it's gonna torture your arse, it's not worth...

A nice practical bike for riding to & from work without having to apply a 2nd mortgage. How tall are you? You might consider levelling the saddle to avoid back issues. As for the wifes comment, it might be wishfull thinking😃.

What's the story with the cable ferrules? One of the photos show the rear ferrule missing then another photo it has been fitted while the front cable ferrule has dissappeared and then reappear later. The mind boggles. I'm having trouble keeping track of your brake ferrules. Is Tommy Cooper...

That's more like it, you're getting close 👍. They're not such a shock for the eyes. The bike still looks fast with those wheels. It's the bike equivelent of something like an old Masarati, not a Lamborghini Diablo or some other garish, loud beast. It's meant to be a piece of art on two wheels...

How about som Mavic rims, red Helium, Cosmic SL, Ksyrium SSC or some Campag rims, Atlanta 96 or Vento? Don't they have a light purple detail in the decals? Otherwise some Scirroccos or Zondas, something like that maybe? The frame and groupset is absolutely delicious.

If you were to ask me for an opnion( and i know already your not going to), i would say that the wheels don't match the rest of the bike aesthetlically that is. (Pssss IOW, a bit on the garish side) Something a bit harmonic for the eyesight, visual karma and not so much " In yer Face".

I have also come to the conclusion that people are prepared to pay a lot of money for them. Maybe one day i will find out for myself instead of just reading about just how good they are.

I haven't yet found the Hilary Stone object on the web. I am commited to a project i've started to finally put together, so all the extra coppers i had are tied up in that.
