Good tyres are expensive. Who else does skids on them anyway?😃

A snowy Sunday morning ride ended at the pub (where else), someone thought it a good idea to see who could do the longest front wheel skid in the car park. It's times like these when you know there's a future for Elastoplast.

BB Bearing cup cross threading / Drive side

Rotate out 2 back in one, repeat. If there is debris this is the best way to get it out of the threads without damaging them. +1

    Rhetorical Single Speed Question

Not to muddy the waters but I replaced the 160mm travel 26er fork with a 100mm travel 29er fork which "compensated" for the bigger wheel. I measured the bike at the time and the ground to crown was almost the same. Complicatider and complicatider,

    Rhetorical Single Speed Question

That is really odd as making the front wheel bigger has actually made the hills steeper! 🫣 Yup, maybe there's an element of "New Bike Syndrome".

My Wife Just Got An E-Bike

Just to be clear, once fully charged I keep all of my power tool batteries C/W their chargers together in a cardboard box in the garage (which isn't attached to the house). I "stay around" when these batteries are being charged and promptly unplug and seperate them when done. The only...

More teeth equals better chain retention so that would be my recommendation.

    For Sale 2004 Klein Palomino V - £350 posted

I had the original Maverick ML7 which was a great ride here in Spain, it seemed impossible to hang the rear wheel up. Parts were still available from the Flow Zone. Another one I shouldn't have parted with.
