    LX ST-M565 / 566 / 567 what's the difference?

M567 is superlight, 335 gr. OEM, with some alloy bolt tuning/display removal you can get into sub 300 gr. territory. M566 is very rare and lovely.

    Steel frame weights

Up to 19" size, weight around 2 kg or less is a good sign of at least double butted quality tubes. Late 90's saw the mass market of stupidly light (and possibly fragile too) frames, built from e.g. Columbus, Dedacciai, Fuji, Ritchey WCS/Nitanium (custom modified Tange), Tange Ultimate Superlight...

    Low stack stem recommendations needed.

Is the steerer steel? If yes, I'd have a machinist with a lathe to make an extension from steel and insert it tightly (outer dia. 1 1/8, inside is dictated by the steerer' inside dia., I guess). Sink it into the steerer 20 mm deep and have a decent wall width and Bob's your uncle. I doubt...

Sold FALSE SUNTOUR XC PRO CRANKS

MD cranks were having ithe GG decals on the spider OEM. As the MD cranks had a chromed shiny plastic axle bolt cover without decal, so some marketing needed to be put on them anyway. The steel crank axle bolt covers with Allen key bolt holes with decals were included with GG BBs as far as I know.

Sold FALSE SUNTOUR XC PRO CRANKS

Probably, but very unlikely, just think about it a little. SR Suntour did not purchased tooling, rights, patents etc. to continue production of the classic designs, let alone using the same materials. Fit & finish of these cranks are cleary some levels below the Japanese made stuff. As the...

Sold FALSE SUNTOUR XC PRO CRANKS

So sorry to turn your milk sour, but these are like Mickey Mouse: not genuine. Suntour went out of business just after the Microdrive cranks were on the market for about 2 years. I have their last dealer catalogue, the Japanese made cranks were never this shape. The boss deliberately scrapped...

    Small parts....what pleasures you!

M900 cro-mo/alloy seatpost. For weight, function, comfort, looks & durability (if looked after). So lovely in fact they should make a reissue, it would sell as hot crossbuns I bet. Pity the special black varnish can look tatty/rusty after a while.

    What are you stockpiling?

"Swansong edition" Japanese made Suntour XC Pro groupsets, mint/NOS, only for display purposes, I doubt I could ever recoup the invested money, let alone getting any profit. But they're cool, in a David vs. Goliath sort of way and most of the parts are next level stuff to M735/some M900 bits...
