I would say your bike is one of the later models, perhaps 1998. You can get suitable rear brake noodles from motorcycle parts dealers.

I can recall my front wheel disappearing down one of those cracks mentioned. The bike stopped very quickly ejecting me over the bars. Happy days.

Very nice. Regarding the 'Titianium plated finish' - it is actually nickel plating with a clear laquer over the top which gives the impression of a brushed ti finish.

Just letting you all know I am still around and very much still alive. I rode a bike last week and it was retro. Missing the old days of good friends and great group rides.
