That's the way things are going. I find that a lot of magazines may have 1 or 2 good articles worth reading in them and are rest of the pages and pages of ads and then prices go up. Compared to 10 years ago I use to buy over a half a dozen different magazines a month and lucky to get one a month...

Dead giveaway it's a fake is the eyelets on the lower chainstay and no pantographed bits. I had my road bike done with a crazy 1980's Rossin paint job many years ago. It was nice but deep down you always feel it isn't the real McCoy. :(

Won this 2005 Kona Smoke on Ebay early this year for a pricey sum of 90 bucks (approx 60 quid). It's a bit of a pedestrian sort of a bike but at least it's got an old school steel frame. Stripped all the original parts off and rebuilt it with left over parts bin stuff and the odd new bits like...

Thanks for the set up advice. I'll give it a go in trying to getting it to stop better. Currently it needs a fist full just to slow down while the front v brakes do the actual stopping bit!!!
