Colnago Sport & Locally built frame.

Re: Thanks LGF, sage advice on sure. Im pretty sure he'd like to sell the bikes complete. Just to be clear, what value would you put on each bike as they stand but with original drops on? (I got confused at the last line)

Colnago Sport & Locally built frame.

Re: Cheers Pigman, The yellow frame is probably better, but without a well known name attached likely to be valued at less. I think the seller said the yellow one was twice the price of the Colnago. I mentioned to the seller about selling parts but i think he just wants them to go as...

Colnago Sport & Locally built frame.

I've been asked by a friend to help her dad sell a couple of 80s road bikes that he's had since bitd, so I've been to look at them. Both have been painted so accurately identifying them is the first step. Bike One. I was told that the first is a 'Colnago Columbus' which he'd bought at a local...

    Morzine

Can anyone recommend good accommodation for Morzine 2021? There will be 3 or 4 of us - catered or self-catered is fine. Our flights on 5th July have been cancelled and quarantine is still in effect, but Riders Refuge have refused to move our booking to next season and kept our £400 deposit...

What do we think this is?

Re: Update: Pretty sure it's a Claude Butler Black Diamond with 531 ST tubing - I'm happy with that. From what I can gather, it was a special from SJS cycles around 1998 needed on the Salesman. Thanks everyone.

What do we think this is?

Re: Its annoying me now though :D Looking at the cable routing on Raleigh, Dawes & CB means I've ruled then out as likely answers.

What do we think this is?

Re: Thanks for the ideas. I had a brief closer look at it this morning - no serial number visible, 735 (angle I think) on seat lug, a Raleigh bb cable guide and Sugino seat clamp bolt.

What do we think this is?

Re: Thanks for your replies. Always good to get a good deal, and especially so for my mate who's been shielding for his son for what seems like an eternity. As I've said before, my knowledge of road bikes is poor - were do the signs point on this one. Obviously a tourer. Due to the law of...

What do we think this is?

I just bought this for my mate for commuting & light touring - only £80 but what do we think it is? Components are a mix of campag, stronglight & Shimano with Mavic Open wheels. Its been powder coated and the only decal is a 531 sticker. It'd be good to tell him what he's riding. Cheers.

    1962 Viking Conquest

Re: Yes, agreed. I meant to take a pic of the Viking alongside my Spa, because although similar seat tube length, the modern bike makes the older look petit. I'll probably get it running and see if my mate we wants it, if not I'll advertise it. I'll keep my eye out for something bigger...

    Hope Hub Help

Re: Hmmm, pawls. They are missing :/ There's a chance they've fired out as I removed the freehub, but I've a feeling they were missing as there was no resistance or sound either way when turning the cassette. Looking online and searching the forum suggests finding Glide pawls may be a problem?
