    Help w/ID on ‘88 Ritchey.

I think the outback had different forks (smaller diameter blades), with a mid-fork rack braze-on? Otherwise very similar.

    Help w/ID on ‘88 Ritchey.

Could definitely be an ‘87. I think those were the only 2 years with U-Brakes?

    Help w/ID on ‘88 Ritchey.

Can anyone ID the model of this ‘88 Ritchey with u-brakes? TIG welded, non-catalogue color. No tubing or model badging. Primarily XT build (crankset may have been replaced- Now Sugino). Ritchey Force Stem and bars. Just picked it up on FB marketplace and trying to decide how much time & money to...

How much would you pay for a vintage Miyata 1000?

Glad you have it sorted -this one (picture with black bar tape) was $275 CAD on FB marketplace (BC interior, Canada). It cleaned up pretty well (photo with white bar tape). Frame was in decent condition, parts were pretty rough (cracked left crankarm, drivetrain wear, tires cracking, though...

    Wanted Miyata 1000

Do you have it sorted? I just built up this 56cm 1989 1000LT, but it’s a little small for me. Nelson, BC.

the cult is real - '91 Bridgestone RB-1

I just picked one up here in BC Canada too -seller said it was a 56, but my buddy picked it up and drove it west for me, and alas, it’s only a 53 (c-c). Too small for me, but I’ll clean it up, give it some love (Brifters stuck, drivetrain is worn), and get it rolling for the next person.

    1992 Rocky Mountain Team Comp

Here’s my ‘92 team comp. 18.5” c-t “Performance Painted” silver so it looks a little like the alu models. Some rust on BB, and a top tube dent. Currently spec’s as daily driver, not catalogue (not that this bike ever appeared in one). Selling ($500cdn obo in Nelson, BC Canada) to make room...

the unofficially cool MTB drop bar thread

‘92 Bianchi Peregrine dirt drop resto-mod. Wish I had gotten closer to original paint on top tube repaint (there was lots of rust to remedy). Rides pretty sweet now! Have a 10s cassette coming so I can use the indexed shifting.

    Unusual Kona

I might have just picked up another unusual (assuming 88-90?) Red (no splatter) Lava Dome w/ seatstay u-brake, P Two fork, and mountain LX. Small Kona badging on the top tube, Joe Murray signature on top tube, and The Bicycle Group logo on the head tube. Serial #P9020122 so maybe old stock...

    1992 Rocky Mountain Team Comp

The 20” Expert I built up is a longer serial#, F12AA0254 as far as I can tell (hard to read!). The 18.5” Team Comp does have the 4 digit #3688. The 395mm rigid fork I sourced for the Expert is a good match, and bike rides extremely well. The frames seem like identical tubesets, and as...

    1992 Rocky Mountain Team Comp

Hey folks -Greetings from Nelson BC Canada. I have both a ‘92 Team Comp, and am now building up an Expert, but both did not have the original forks when I got them. The Team Comp (photo below) has a spinner, and Expert came with a Judy that I’m replacing with rigid so my kid has a town ripper...
