Just Picked Up This 1987-ish Ritchey Timber Comp

I suggest a red (rear) to yellow fade paint. I have seen that era Ritcheys painted like this and it´s so good.

Just Picked Up This 1987-ish Ritchey Timber Comp

Wow. I can only say this is one of the all time great vintage mtbs and you should ride it off road.

1993 Fat Chance Yo Eddy Aquafade.

I hope it gets ridden, muddied and scratched beyond recognition. Mountain bikes need dirt and rocks to be happy.

    '97 Breezer Lightning

Get a ritchey logic fork! That´s how those bikes rode. The black and white scheme is beautifull. I would rather repaint the car.

Show us a gratuitous full frontal!

I believe you can reverse these cane creeks and have a better cable line. There were two models and one could be reversed.

    New Addition. Fisher MTB

I like the frame as well as the components. Bikes at deore xt level usually had frames w/ the best available tubing. Get rid of the riser bars and take it to mtb trails.

1995 Rocky mountain Altitude build thread. Updated July 10th.

Smokes are slow in hard pack and smooth terrain. Tires come and go. Avoid cutting the steerer. A race face system stem would look good there as well and it´s easier to deal w/ uncut steerers

I was just trying to help since i have these levers and used them for 15 yrs. Good luck.

    Deore XT ST-M739 Brifters

The 739 is a vbrake lever. The adjustment affects the progressive x harsh feel of the lever. It´s not remotely suitable for cantis. The travel agent converts canti brake levers to pull v brakes, not the other way around.

    Help identify... Ibis Mojo? S/S?

Early mojos had neither hand jobs nor the Koski drop outs. Those decals are later stuff, late 90s, and i would bet the frame was repainted along the fork. If it´s a rider you are looking for and the geo fits your body then get it because those ibis have top class handling.

Lightweight tubing (e.g. triple butted, competition etc) - is it more fragile?

Yes, lightweight tubing could be fragile for the application you are looking for. A heavier touring bike would be a safer bet.

Can we just agree on what NOS means please!

NOS is unused, never bolted or pressed in a bike. Otherwise someone is lying to you.
