Hi All, Firstly, a Merry Christmas to you all. I saw this Saracen (?) whilst out and about and could not identify it for the life of me. It had a full Suntour XC Ltd groupset so dates it to 92ish (?). Any help gratefully received as ut's been bugging me. TIA

Objectively, what is the best frameset? I currently have (owned from new) an early 90s ali Merlin UK frame (non disc) with Kona P2 forks but may be able to get a complete '93 CB Spectre with 531 Magnum. Thinking of transferring the LX 9 speed from the Merlin to the CB. Thanks

Re: Hi Xerves, I must admit this is my first Specialized and I am certainly not an expert. It was mainly an assumption on my part as regards year because there is an 88 stated on the underside of the BB.

Re: The 75 degree parallel geometry came about as my overiding request to Chas when I ordered it was for it to be as fast and tight as possible. I used to push big gears and bend my Vitus 979 at the BB hence the choice of SLX tubing
