Yeah, wondering if this is all a scam. Seller contacted me to say vgol was a scammer (based in china blah, blah, blah). Offered it to me but when i asked questions about size, headset etc. nothing came back. Did you send payment vgol? I hate to think that scammers have invaded this...

Seconded, I've got a spare 7700 group with british and italian (needle roller bearing) BBs. Also got flight deck computer to go with it. I keep thinking of doing something with it but perhaps i should just sell it.

If you are going to ride it and not just clean it up and look at it then I would second that fit is by far the most important part of any bike (new or second hand). Bikes are like shoes, if they don't fit they don't get used.

The right bike depends on what you want it for but yeah, Diamondback was my first thought too. I like a good GT but I don't think this one is, the Ridgeback is quite nice with better kit than most here. The Diamondback looks like it night be a 19 so would be a better size for a 6 footer.

Very nice. Is that grub screw for the post like the Vitus one that actually presses directly against the post? The bonded carbon Look frames had a wedge which is probably more forgiving on a carbon post (and 25.0mm posts are not the easiest thing to find).

Columbus made gilco for colnago but i've seen that come up on a couple of other italian frames so the same may be possible for other 'colnago' tubes. Although i can't be 100% sure it's true gilco or something that just looks to be gilco.

Stiffness is only in part defined by clamp diameter but also length of centre bulge as this dictates the length of the moment arm for the more flexible 22.2mm section.
