    I've got a SF dura ace 28 hole tack hub (can't remember what the front hub is) on mavic cxp22s. The DA hub was new and I built it into a used set of wheels I had. Not after much for them, say £75+post (unless you are in the Bristol area and can collect).

    On low end octalink BBs yes but the 7700 has needle roller bearings. One of the most beautiful BBs ever made and will have a larger bearing area than modern external BBs.

    Thanks for the information. Surprised it's the alloy rears with pivots that crack and not the steel ones which rely on flex but I guess that's a material thing. How are GT sizes measured? Is 18" centre to centre or centre to top? How did you convert to disc (and what's it like with disc?).

    There is a little damage on the base of the crank from where it was removed (campag don't seem to have really thought through the removal of their carbon cranks and the tool i have gives you a sliver of cardboard to protect it, really?!?). I later bonded some thin metal there for better spread...
