Oh yes indeed they do. I used to work in a model shop and many's the time we'd have customers coming in, asking for advice, demonstrations, to see and check out the stock and then want us to price match Hobby Lobby or Sprue Bros ( the model versions of CRC ) or just tell us they'd get the stuff...

It was a contemporary of the Chopper Mk 2 - had a kind of military look and a frame not unlike a Raleigh 20. Nice chrome chainguard and mudguards, big padded saddle and risers. Fattish tyres. Dark green and 3 speed with twist shifters. About 74-76ish. I'd quite like a grown up version :-)

Crikey that must have been surprising. If memory serves Marin used to use alloy nipples from the middle of the range and up in those days didn't they? Oooh it's got those lovely Marin Lite brakes too. That's a nice bike, well done :-)

Re: I gotta new boingy thing... Getting there: it's coming up nice. I need to polish the fork crown, give it a new qr on the post and either replace the front mech or scrub the rust off. Also I'll be taking the travel adjust qr off and stripping off the surface rust with my trusty dremelalike...
