FS:DT Swiss X430 Wheels XT **REDUCED NOW £110**

Re: FS:DT Swiss X430 Wheels XT **NOW £115** Do you need a rubber rim strip to run these tubeless, or do you just use air-tight tape as you do with Stans ZTR rims?

How many of us here are members of the CTC?

No, the local RTR here is excellent and extremely active, but I'm sure she doesn't see her role as pressing for enhanced RoW. I am the Chair of the Local Access Forum and a member of a neighbouring LAF, and in all the years I have been involved neither LAF has ever had any contact from the CTC...

How many of us here are members of the CTC?

I am a member, but I don't think it is anywhere near as good an organisation as it could and should be. I don't think it has any real interest in off-road and for example does nothing whatever (as far as I can see) about seeking improved rights of way. It is the only cycling organisation that...

An ebay scam you may not have heard of...

Surely when you sign to say you have received a package, that's all you are doing? Your friend was no more signing to say he had his phone back than the buyer was signing to say she had received an intact phone when she signed for her package. He should inform both the buyer and eBay that the...

That's interesting, I've never heard anyone speak so highly as that of the 98 Kilauea before. I've never ridden one myself, but I would say that the 98 Explosif (853) is of all my Konas the closest in nature to the 96 Wanga (Tange Prestige). I find the Wanga nicer to ride than any of my Konas...

It's a 1996 frame, and everything about it is as Konaman1 says (as you would expect from Konaman1 of course). If you had bought one back then, VooDoo's a la carte pricing structure would have been frame £699 plus fork, say Judy XC £300, plus groupset and finishing kit, say XT £1,070, total...

    New Massive Clearout- updated 25/3

Re: New Massive Clearout Am I right in thinking that the RD-M772 must be normal rise, as it's sitting there looking all normal like that? If so, I'll have it please. I'm just building up a 2004 ASR-SL, so if you've got anything Yeti-themed you'd like to get rid of, e.g., saddle, the odd...

    1993 14" Yeti ARC

No, but it just isn't the done thing on here for some reason, to say anything negative. I agree it looks nice, but it's a bit surprising as it's also an ultra weak join as well as being ultra short.

Ridiculous price! How do these bikes ever end up in the hands of people who know nothing about them? It would have cost over £2,000 when new, but what can have happened next?

    KHS Titanium....Worcester

£344 - not a bad price when considering it's for collection from Worcester

Klein Attitude v 04 fork help

Looking at the two Bikepedia pictures, I would guess that most likely they didn't change the frame geometry between 2004 and 2006. I say this because the 2006 has a riser bar and perhaps a shorter stem too - but certainly the grips are closer to the plane of the steerer than in the 2004 photo...

Completed 1997 Kona Kilauea Update pg. 5 Pics added

Re: Kona Kilauea Help The Lava Dome/Cinder Cone were good-quality frames, double-butted generic 4130, and a higher standard than most brands' mid-range models, as Kona always put a bit more into the frame and a bit less into the parts list than other brands. The Explosifs and Kilaueas were...

FS - American Classic 26" wheelset - MINT - SOLD

Re: FS - American Classic 26" wheelset - MINT! The website says 28mm width, but does that mean internal or external? They certainly make the tyres look nice and fat, are they 2.25s? I notice they no longer make 26" wheels, so these are officially retro!

No, I didn't mention a figure - that would be most of the way towards making an offer, and I would prefer to see a proper auction. Don't get me wrong, I don't see anything amiss in making a fair offer to stop an auction early, but it isn't clear whether the seller knows much about bikes and if...

    1996 Klein Adroit

Looks fast, doesn't it? The Judy SL is a 97. I don't know whether that means the fuselage is too, but presumably so as he says the bike is totally original.

Don't use eBay then - eBay *is* a bidding war! I've told the seller the VooDoo is valuable, so I hope he will let the auction run and not accept some lowball offer in the meantime. I personally don't make lowball offers, but I know some on here do.

    KHS Titanium....Worcester

Looks to be in very good condition - e.g., the state of the decals is the best I've seen, a lot better than mine. The frame is light even by ti standards - mine weighs 3.1lbs, so I would expect this one a size larger to weigh 3.2. It's what KHS called a size 17, but anybody else would call it an...

    Shared cycle and footways

Although I understand the irritation caused when pedestrians walk on ‘our’ part of the path rather than ‘theirs’, the fact is that they are legally entitled to. Pedestrians have right of way over cyclists even on our side of the path, and the onus is on the cyclist to avoid a collision. If you...
