    Identify earlyish lugs

I know these are not top line but can anyone tell me what make these lugs are. Probably from a 1970s frame. Many thanks.

What a great result. I wish Falcon held the records that Mercian obviously have. I am having to put them together myself.

    Mystery frame ID help

If it is an early 1970s frame, the reinforced back brake bridge detail is a quality detail for that time. Often not adopted until very late 70s / early 80s by many builders I believe?

    Mystery frame ID help

The Falcon San Remo in the 1970s had exactly that wrapover seat detail from about 1969. A second clue is the five digit frame number which is also how Falcon numbered their frames, although they were more normally parallel with the spindle. The fork, which is original to the frame, was not...

    1959 FALCON ADVERT

I have just found this post. Can you tell me what publication the advert was in and its date please? I am pretty sure I have that actual model in the copper flamboyant colour. Bought it as a frame and have three quarters restored the parts.

My first road bike (and project) Flacon 'Black arrow' 1976

Hi Ryan You have a really nice and quite special Falcon there. It was first produced, I believe, in 1976 which is when you say the original owner bought it. It was introduced then as the Black Arrow 2000 and I am attaching an image of it from the 1976 Falcon catalogue. This shows it fitted...

Does anyone out there know who could restore a head badge for me? It had been stripped of all its colour and brush painted over. I've cleaned it up but need all the colour putting back. Any suggestions?

Vintage Falcon...anyone help with age / or model?

After a long two years I have this bike back on the road. I was distracted by two other build projects, a long period in respray and other acquisitions. However this 1970s model 80 (with a couple of upgrades over the catalogue spec) is finally finished.

Looking for help with ID'ing an old Raleigh

The hoops on the seat post were very much in vogue in the 1960s and into the early 1970s. Raleigh made extensive use of Reynolds 531 DB tubing on their prime models so the Carbospec frame tubing puts it more into the mid range or so. Equally, theri upper range models at the time had part...
