If it is an early 1970s frame, the reinforced back brake bridge detail is a quality detail for that time. Often not adopted until very late 70s / early 80s by many builders I believe?

And which year was it please? I would guess 1959/60

The Falcon San Remo in the 1970s had exactly that wrapover seat detail from about 1969. A second clue is the five digit frame number which is also how Falcon numbered their frames, although they were more normally parallel with the spindle. The fork, which is original to the frame, was not...

I have just found this post. Can you tell me what publication the advert was in and its date please? I am pretty sure I have that actual model in the copper flamboyant colour. Bought it as a frame and have three quarters restored the parts.

Does anyone out there know who could restore a head badge for me? It had been stripped of all its colour and brush painted over. I've cleaned it up but need all the colour putting back. Any suggestions?

After a long two years I have this bike back on the road. I was distracted by two other build projects, a long period in respray and other acquisitions. However this 1970s model 80 (with a couple of upgrades over the catalogue spec) is finally finished.

After disassembly, cleaning and polishing I put on the correct gear levers, new brake hoods and an appropriate saddle and here it is!
