    Re: Shimano MT 81 ( I think ) now replaced with MT9, perfect for hike ya bike to top of mountain then blast back down , really comfy and reasonably warm , current pair about 5 years old now and done a lot of miles on foot in them .

    We are sticking with Sunday as the weather looks better , bring your own packed lunch and beer as we'll be stopping for a picnic rather than using the packed and maybe not open cafe hut , the views will be better too where we stop . Get those bikes ready and see you all on Sunday .

    Have a look and ENVE wheels set up tubeless , you may notice that even there fancy soooper expensive carbon jobbies have gorilla tape on them , it tends to stick better , is more flexible and is very strong, hence why it's used , oh and as heresy I've been running my back wheel with cheapo...

    After various discussions at the weekender it was decided to do Cutgate hopefully before the weather turns and it becomes a bog . Classic North peaks riding with flowing single track , steady climbs , brutal climbs and awesome descents .
