Withdrawn Hedgefind Coppi Fiorelli Eroica rat bike

The bike has returned to its homeland and a life in the sun (with, judging by last week, occasional very heavy rain!)

Withdrawn Hedgefind Coppi Fiorelli Eroica rat bike

The Coppi will be going to Gaiole and, one way or another, not coming back (I need the space in the bike bag to bring something else home ;)) It is now any offer considered time:)

Withdrawn Hedgefind Coppi Fiorelli Eroica rat bike

The title says it all but here is the long version of the story. The bike was found in a hedge in Hoegaarden, Flanders (the town where they brew the “white” beer you serve with a slice of lemon). Not by me, but by a local who restores bikes, he stripped off the Matt black paint that covered...

    Sorted Tommasini Velocista Max

Got one! On the large side but it is workable and the Tig welded version rather than lugged but it has the “proper fork” and horses on the top tube:cool: Still a work in progress but getting there.

    Sancineto Beauty photoshoot.

Very nice! When it was for sale I has half an eye on it, but had no room in the garage. Enjoy it, it is a real beauty😀

Frame ID - Concorde Aquila 1986? Ciocc?

I had an Aquila with SL rather than SLX tubes, so an 84 or 85 (I guess) the bottom bracket cut out looks similar, but the Panto on the Lugs were the Concorde logs and there was the Italian flag brazed on the top tube. This should suggest that your frame is a Ciocc but probably/possibly not an...

    My Italian and Belgian bikes

I am always late to the party: a great collection and as a Max fan I am deeply envious.😍. Is the Simoncini Columbus SLX with a Max fork?

    Anjou Velo Vintage

Sunday can be quite hard work in that respect. If you are on the 09.30 ride the first glass of wine can be in your hand before 10.00. 🍾

Tickets are ride specific, so it is best to know which rides you want and which would be your backup.

    Anjou Velo Vintage

Thanks for posting, I had totally missed the 2024 dates! It is the same price for every ride (if I remember correctly). Tickets sell out fast, (except for L’authentique on the Saturday) so best to sign up to the mailing list and keep an eye on your in-box. The booking process is not the...

For Sale Gios Torino super record frameset

With apologies to the OP, (beautiful looking Gios!)and if the mods feel we are too far off track please feel free to delete. I am quite happy to accept what you say about the shape of Italians, but, I was referring to the shape of Italian bikes. And here “Italian geometry” is a thing, even if...

For Sale Gios Torino super record frameset

Not, every Italian frame is built like this, the Custom build i bought is 54cc seat 56 cc top, but best to check all the dimensions if you see something you like

For Sale Gios Torino super record frameset

56CT makes it 55CC and with a 53 CC top tube giving typical “ Italian Geometry” with a shorter top tube than seat tube. A quick measure of my Italians, including a Gios, and centre to centre they are all taller than they are long. (Except for one that was a custom build for the original owner) .

    Raleigh Dynatech Castorama

Until a real expert gets here you will have to make do with me:) The numbering suggests a team bike but I can’t find an AW or a WA on the team in 1991. It might have been the bike of a stagiere. This could explain the lack of a rider’s name on the frame. It could be worth looking to see...

For Sale Campagnolo Electron Clinchers wheels: “Pantani wheels”

Hi, I am selling my set of original Campagnolo electron wheels. They are a fantastic wheel set, light and great for climbing, but are wasted on me. I weigh about 25kg more than Pantani and live in Brussels not the Dolomites! The rear has one non-original spoke in the drive side, see photo...
