For Sale Tommasini Retro Steel, Small Size, Chorus 9 speed.

Hi, beautiful bike. How small is small? It would be useful to have the frame size in cm.

    TVT 92 frames, again!

I’d agree with Nob, a quick look at eBay completed sales suggests closer to $400. If it were an HM frame it would be closer to 600

Columbus CX tubing, who has wisdom to impart?

No not crimped and hard to tell from the photos I have seen if they are round or oval. the Fork is marked CX and is" aero" in shape, but the frame could, of course, be anything

Columbus CX tubing, who has wisdom to impart?

Thanks, this suggests that indeed it was a custom set for Colnago. I was wondering as i have seen a different Italian frame marked as CX frame (where CX is not cyclocross) , but it's not oval and not a Colnago so it must be made of something else.

Columbus CX tubing, who has wisdom to impart?

I'm trying to find information on Columbus CX tubing but I can find very little on line. Was it only available to Colnago and is/was it always oval? many thanks

    Sorted Carrera Podium Fork

I picked up this Carrera podium EL-Max, 1994 the classic Carrera-Tassoni while and blue colour scheme recently. The seller had sold the original fork and put on a carbon one, so I'm looking for a Carrera EL fork ideally with the bird head panto, Steerer length is not an issue, I'm looking...

Wanted Mag 21 servicing in Belgium

I usually hangout on retro road, but need some help with a suspension fork. The fork is a Rockshox Roubaix SL, in essence a Mag 21 for road (well cobble) use. I know nothing about about suspension, my MTBung was dome on a GT panterra and an M800, and I’m looking for someone in Belgium who can...

    Peugeot

Peter Post has (I think) the second fastest time at just over 45 kmh in 1964. It was a very different race back then, for starters it actually ran from Paris to Roubaix! It was cobbled because at that time even the main roads were cobbled although these were "normal cobbles", As roads were...

Eddy Merckx Strada 7 Eleven project

What is the rear spacing? If it is a 95 I would guess 130mm which may mean you need to reset it for 7 speed...or do the quick release up really tight!

Best Eroica Hill Climber Racer/Road bike???

I’d go for a triple. There are lots out there and a 1980s stronglight would look in keeping with the period of the bike. You might end up needing long cage rear mech but that is a bit trial and error. Of coutes by the time you have done all the experimenting it might be easier to get and but...

Sell whole bike or individual components?

If the bike holds particular memories, you might prefer to sell it complete but, As a general rule the sum of the parts is always greater than the whole. In this case it is not too fanciful to suggest that on eBay you would get almost as much, if not more, for the Rally alone than you would get...

    Another SBDU in France

Not 100% certain this one is still live, as the seller has been unresponsive. Bottom bracket shell suggests rust issues...but apart from that ... https://www.leboncoin.fr/sports_hobbies/1949547172.htm

    Super U SBDU cyclo-cross bike

    1981 Raleigh SBDU 4545

The joy of SBDU, there is always something a bit different:) I'm intrigued by the over and under bottom bracket cable routing: over seems to be original, as the cable thingy (eyelet?) on the chain stay is on the top not the bottom of the stay. However by 1982 this, I think, would not have...

Wanted Dura Ace 7100/7200 shifter spring

Hi, I'm looking for two of the little circular springs with the pronged ends that fits into earlier Dura ace shifters, they are missing from the shifters I bought and so everything is a little...floppy. the springs are the two circles at the top of the photo. Thanks, these are the last things...

    Tubular evangelists - advice needed

If you are going down the narrow tubular route, then get a good track pump, ideally one that will do 20 psi above the pressure you need to avoid having to fight (too much) to get to the pressure you actually need.

help with Carrera (Jeans-Tassoni team?) new project

Good luck with the project! I have looked at buying one of these in the past but have never found the right one. I've also never got to the bottom of the tubing question. As far as I can tell from speaking to a few sellers and looking at lots of pictures, the EL OS version did have ovalized...
