    Which Raleigh is this?

Welcome to Retrobike! I think it's a Raleigh Classic 15 from the early eighties. Have a look at this one: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/250297/ Everything seems to fit except the colour. The Royal had that colour scheme, but had cheaper stays and lacked the chromed rear end. The Magura...

Found late 80's (I think) Stumpjumper...newb to rebuilding

That's a '93, and in very nice condition. It's hard to tell from such a small picture, but that looks like a sealed (cartridge) bottom bracket already. If it needs replacing, the shell is probably 73mm. I'm 6' 1" on a good day, and I ride a 19" '92 Stumpjumper Comp. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=53086...

    Raleigh Randonneur Special Products Division?

As luck would have it, I found the scans of the '99 document in the first place I looked. I've uploaded them, unimproved, to my flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/24213822@ ... 837549633/ Only two "pages" - front and back.

    Raleigh Randonneur Special Products Division?

Welcome to Retrobike! I've no idea where to lay hands on either the scans or the original documents at the moment. If I find them I'll repost them. The '97 or '98 booklet is online now at the VCC archive: http://tinyurl.com/m9pgter Mine used an ISO headset.

    Reynolds 853, fillet brazed, Condor

Re: Re: The fork dropouts look a lot like the early P2 models: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SIx7wfTjfjU/V ... fork05.jpg http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/12196-1/12.jpg although this one looks to be suspension-corrected. Hard to tell.

    31.8 seat post? Or shim?

I've got a titanium Syncros in 31.8mm kicking around somewhere. It's 330mm, if memory serves. Drop me a PM if that's of any interest, and I'll have a rummage. Circa Y2K.

    Tiny 93? Kona Kilauea?

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea I don't know how to interpret that serial number. The dropouts and fork length say '92-'93. The only year the Kilauea used that "squashed" seat tube was '92. The fork looks like the cheaper single-butted version (the dropouts are welded on, rather than cast and brazed...

    Tiny 93? Kona Kilauea?

Re: Tiny 97 Kona Kilauea Where's Anthony when you need him? CTK's bike has a squashed (not flare-butted) seat tube bottom end and a slim, straight (not tapered) top tube, so it's not Columbus Cyber or Tange Prestige Concept. I reckon it's either a '92 Kilauea or maybe a '93 Cinder Cone!

Shimano XT /XTR 11-36 9 speed cassette SORTED!!!

    Re: Shimano XT /XTR 11-36 9 speed cassette There's no such thing. The usual XT/XTR 9-speed cassettes were 11-32 and 11-34t. There was a fairly rare 12-34 XTR, and later a 12-36 HG61 designed for 29" mtbs. https://www.sheldonbrown.com/k9.shtml There's an HG400 11-36 made now that's not shown...

Help needed Peugeot Python headsets problems

Might it be a BMX standard 1" headset? The head tube is larger than normal for BSC 1", but smaller than 1 1/8", and the quill is also slightly slimmer than normal: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-headsets.html They were sometimes used in early or inexpensive MTBs. If it is a 1 1/8"...

Identification and misidentification of Campagnolo C-Record

Re: Re: The name "C-Record" is used in some official literature - but not consistently! The 18 bis catalogue, for example, calls the road group "Record corsa" while the track group is "C-Record pista". In the table of contents, both groups are called "Record", while the pages relating to...
