    eyewatering puch

kind of 'nice looking' with the fluor paint, but... these things weigh in at (something close to) a ton... ....that made me decide to go for a Giant Escaper back in 1990...

1993 Mongoose Amplifier finished pag 2

The Risse shock is an Elroy.... tuneble rebound... and air pressure of course... I have one on mine to. A great improvement over the original spring/damper... and half the weight of the orignal (I guesstimated)

    cantilevers

For the most powerfull setup you need to get the moment (crank X power) as high as possible. To get the moment as high as possible you need to get the angle through the pivot point, the point where the cable is attached an the cable straddle thiny at 90° at the time the brake pad is touching the...

Rims for a pair of M900 hubs

For a lighter and still a rather stiff rim I would say Matrix Titan. At 365g very light for a retro rim.. ..some people worry about tires getting of, 'cause it's only 19mm wide, but I never had a problem with that.. neither had a friend of mine who was 'proffesionally' (as far as that was...

Wow... this month is easier than I expected... Lots of bikes I really like... Love the colors of the Lloyd and the Goat... Like the looks of the Slingshot and the Scott, but... that Rek-Tek is it for me this month... Great bike with all the (matching) Syncros parts and the stealth-like colour...

    1993 Bridgestone MB-1

Very, very, very nice bike :D ...is this the one that was on the bay last week (or a week earlier) ? I've been keeping an eye on that one, 'cause I really like the '93 model with that fork. As far as I know, they only did these forks in '93... Super nice fork with a nice short...

My dream set of wheels (at long last)....but what are yours?

...not to long ago I picked up my 'new' set of wheels... It has some Tune hubs. Not retro enough to be in pre-'98 section, so I run 'm in my 2001 Mojo... I bought the 28h hubs (MIG75R + MAG170) in '98... rode 'm 'till 2009 and when I had them checked up, the flange of the rear hub broke...

Not bike related, so... Don't know if I should ask it in the 'How much is my xyz worth', but I have a Guiness deck of cards.... and got wondering... maybe worth posting it on the bay for... let's say 400 ? Only 52 different cards are in the deck !! ...remembers me of the...

    Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Hey... that's helpfull... thanks on that... I didn't think about that site... I'm not really into Q-factor-measuring anymore..., but these cranks look so wide... perhaps deu to the lack of a chainstay as a refference... Never had an elvated chainstay... I did think of using some ritchey's...

Thanks for the comments RockiMtn and Classen.... 8) I deceided to go with the Cooks cranks... I didn't measured the needed axle lenght yet, but indeed they seem to need a 122mm or something like that... Not a great choice if it comes to the best Q-factor, but oké... they'll stay.. About...

The tires stay in there as long as I can't find (or want to spend money on) some Panaracer Smokes.... ....and...ehm.... I didn't spend any money on the cranks... they came with the buy... 175 Euro for the frame with these things on... and some new Magura HS brakes... and PullStar-wheels...

Right :D The seatpost is past the the toptube weld and my thinking was also 'the reaised seatstay helps that'. I'm not worried for cracking 'cause the seatpost wouldn't be long enough... The only thing I'm worried about is the seat binder.... as you -Mr. Chicken (or is it Fluffy ? )-...
