Steve Goff 1st Mtb triple triangle project 2

Found this on Facebook this morning and looks a bargain for some early UK mtb history. I particularly like the project 2 style forks with chrome dropouts and brazing.

Bike jumble in the Westcountry ?

I follow just their facebook page. I went to the one this morning at West Buckland as wasn't far from me. Over 95% of the stuff there was road stuff and I came away with nothing.

    Early 90s Kona cap.

No worries, I'll keep my eyes peeled for one and let you know (or if mine magically turns up in my loft)! The logo on the original was stitchedon from what I recall (again reflecting the quality) so if you do get one made up worth looking at companies that offer embroidered logos too 😉

    Looking for fork help/advice.

Agreed, sorry didn't zoom in but like bikeworkshop said, they definitely look like 31.8mm bars rather than earlier 25.4 and a change in stem would be needed.

    Looking for fork help/advice.

Hiya, yeah you're going to need threadless 1-1/8th forks for 26" wheels. I would suggest removing the existing forks and measuring the length of the steerer tube on them to determine what steerer tube length you need on your new forks. In terms of bars, the clamp diameter on your existing stem...

Tange Switchblades 1" 160mm threaded steerer

Hey, they're actually mine that I'm selling, hopefully to help fund Track Twos but more than likely some other parts. The ebay ad offers postage too, the pick up from Taunton is just an option, sorry if not clear, oops! I've actually just replied to your ebay message @7Speed before seeing the...
