    Mavic 571 hubs

Here you go! I found a some Powerway bodies in my stock that placed the bearing in the right location relative to the shell end, so I had them remachined to fit the mavic drive plate. By using a 16100 bearing, I could use the 28mm bearing bore without sleeving and recutting that area. In the...

    Mavic 571 hubs

I finally had a bit of time for this. I was unable to separate the drive sleeve from the drive ratchet and was afraid of damaging the latter, so I cut and split the (half moon) sleeve. In the photo below you can see how they are connected. I have drawn the assembly and will have a Shimano HG...

How much longer can I go without a mobile phone?

It's funny that our phones have become so "necessary" for modern life, but some of us rarely use them as phones. If my phone rings, my brain automatically thinks, "Oh, piss OFF!" 😂

    Not vintage or French Tourers/Campeurs, Trade/Porteurs, Audax/Randonneurs, Commuters/Town

My pleasure. 🙏 Could you space back the chainring adapter arms with alloy spacer rings and use slightly longer bolts? Alternatively, maybe you could lube the chain with KY Jelly 😂

    Not vintage or French Tourers/Campeurs, Trade/Porteurs, Audax/Randonneurs, Commuters/Town

These are Duprat Universal model with a stamped steel spider. I believe that the Professional model had a pressed on cast spider. There was an earlier version with very slim arms which were drilled hollow and an integral cast spider. The Simplex rings and adapter arms fit all 3 arm 116mm BCD...

down tube barrel adjusters with small clip

That clip is just holding the threaded barrel in the outer sleeve as it is under spring tension. Thread the adjuster a few turns into the stop on the frame and pull that clip off, then thread the adjuster in the rest of the way.

    Mavic 571 hubs

I wish I could help you out. I have 2 Mavic bodies available, though 🥴 I've been thinking to have one of the Mavic bodies turned down to see if the steel driver flange could be mated to another HG Body. I need to find a body seal for the hubset that I have.
