Build it. Ride it. A lot of riding. If you are still bothered then redo the paint. A tattered original is always better than a half done job and a good repaint is not easy or cheap. Only do it if you are fully comitted.

Have you tried moving up the crown , leaving more of the legs, messing around w/ the head angle? Just because you can. It would change the handling. I would do it... just to see what happens.

Klein is much much stiffer... and handling in tight trails is superb, i hear.

early 90s mtbs were quick, sometimes too quick up front. A mag 21 would turn a 71 into 70 head angle. That was good on many situations.

That´s too my favourite year for the Blizzard. Love the radically sloped top tube and tall extending seat tube w matching tall head tube. Those wheels can be a head ache to go back to functioning.
