    He was waiting for me to turn up with it and as I drew up at the front of his house and he saw it his eyes lit up. His wife has advanced dementia and he looks after her at home 24/7.

    Building this up for an old friend who has had it about 12 years. It’s frame and forks only so nice little project for me. He had it resprayed after he first bought it and been hanging on his wall since. Nice details.

    Close ups of frame, serial number on steerer and rear drop out, fits with 1954 on Holdsworth numbering series. Seat tube was sleeved with brass shim to take unicantor seat post.

    Ready to roll at last, had some problems with rear gears but sorted now. The rear derailleur was fixed to drop out with a mounting plate that was set into the wheel, I couldn’t get the smallest sprocket. Fitted with a flat plate, sorted.
