    Magura help needed

Be careful with the mounting bracket, when you try loosening that silver "hook". Those brackets brake easily! Do NOT use them as a lever!

Rat Klein pinnacle build - Selfmade parts content!

Dome headed is a very good idea. Won't do torx. I don't have that kind of tool with me, when riding. But I do usually carry allen wrenches...

Rat Klein pinnacle build - Selfmade parts content!

Did my first little ride on the Pinnacle, too. Quick trip to the bakers. Bike's looking really good, I think. But there is still work to do. The thumbie is too loose, still. The rear sprockets are too worn. The middle ones are skipping. Which is really sad. it was my last M900 kassette. And...

Rat Klein pinnacle build - Selfmade parts content!

I'm thinking on what part to make or modify next. I've been playing with one if these inverse M951 DRs. And I would like to take one apart and make two new parallelogram parts to convert it no - well - how it should have been. :D While thinking about that, I started the second pedal. Measure...

Did anyone ever notice that inverse M951 derailleurs actually had a purpose?

From 951 to 900, that's exactly what I did... Performancewise, I don't think there is any difference. As long as 15g less and the looks don't count as performance gain.

Did anyone ever notice that inverse M951 derailleurs actually had a purpose?

The main bolt really looks different. I like it, but I can understand that some might think otherwise. The cable bolt is basically the same. But it is anodized black instead of chrome. It won't rust. So that's a plus? The adjustment screws are really similar looking, but they are more crisp and...

Did anyone ever notice that inverse M951 derailleurs actually had a purpose?

I don't like the STX too much, personally. I'm a snob. I try to always use m900 wherever possible. M73x else. I made more experiments today. I'll have to take back my statement about the cage beeing swapable. The (Titanium) bolt has a slightly bigger diameter thread compared to the...

Did anyone ever notice that inverse M951 derailleurs actually had a purpose?

You can use them to tune your M900 or M73x derailleurs! The main bolt is a direct fit. It is really nice and light. Titanium. (See picture above, XT bolz on the left, M951 to the right) The bolt for clamping the cable also fits, as do the two little adjustment screws. Even the cage might...

The GT STS Thread Members Bikes and Tech Info

    - Discmounts only on the later models. - Crack in the BB - Well. Thats it, basically. I haven't heard of or seen anyone able to repair that kind of damage. Altough I have seen a new to me welding technique recently. Someone welded a few rust-holes in a FatChance steel frame (I think it was)...

Why did you pick your username?

Well, my name is Matthias, but that username was always already taken by some other idiot with lacking imagination who created the account, made a few posts and then never came back. My little sister used to call me "thias" when she was learning to speak. The Ma-part maybe was too...

Another update. The weather is slowly warming up around here. We had a few very nice sunny days, recently. So I'm trying to get the bike assembeled to a state where I can take it for a spin. This is how it sits atm: The red brake levers are a placeholder, I think I mentioned that before. I...

Wheeler BSA - any info? Picture inside

If this is the Titanal version of the RSA - they tend to have cracks. Those Titanal tubes were rolled and welded from sheet metal. Those welds were very problematic and would tear just from sitting. There were brands - like Hercules - that didn't have those problems. But these Wheelers sadly...
