well.... I have a '89 Pine Mountain with that very decal design and layout, the only thing is it is light grey. Also it has canti brakes on the back seat stays so maybe it's '87-'88?
What I would really like is a nice set of thumb shifters prefer Shimano M732 or possibly M730 or even or anything else in good condition.

Sorry about that I should have read it more closely. Out of interest is there anything wrong/bad with the seat clamp in front of the seat tube rather than behind?

If you take a look in the gallery/manufacturers archive you may well be able to pick it out of the 1992 catalogue.
Going on the colours it could be a Pro Caliber?? But thats just a guess.
