    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Definitely not received either of those which is strange as my email is normally bullet proof - I get loads of images sent through. I saw 3612 on CC? and 5797 on Marktplaats? Coincidentally, I also didn't get a notification that you had commented on this post which is strange as I have for...

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Yes that was his hour frame - one of 3 that I believe were built, all slightly different. The TI in the background I think is one of the 3. You need an M8 x 1.25 x 25 (diameter – pitch – length). The later fastback bolts are much smaller Here's a post I wrote about repairing the thread on my...

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Yep think those CC pics are what I've seen. And yes, I think Raleigh were very confident, but maybe it was something else, like the rider, or climate or pressure rather than the bike? The bike was beautiful... here are some pics (bit poor but still a lovely bike). The paint can be incredibly thin!

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

If 3612 is still like the pics I've seen then a good clean and polish is all I'd do. SBDU/Team frames had a few Capella lugged bikes (I've got a few). Seemed to be a handful of 75/76/77 frames. This is SB664 with almost intact Capella lugs - the long front points have been trimmed. HK176...

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Yes, modified Capella lugs. Trimmed, slight reshape and a few extra holes. SB3612 - nice original TI.

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

This is how it looks at the moment... And here is the story from the step son of the man who was given it by Raleigh... "The story behind the bike was that my stepfather who was a manager at Raleigh did some work for the race team and when the team came back from winning “The Tour” they gave...

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Hennie didn't want it. Raleigh weren't bothered, so the owner offered it to me :-) When I find a suitable fork, it's got to be repainted back to TI colours with the addition of Hennie's World Champion bands on the seat tube.

    Hennie Kuiper's TI-Raleigh 1976 Team Bike Frame Number HK276

Non original parts, non original colour, non original fork, but this is HK276. This is Hennie Kuiper's 1976 frame Ridden in TI-Raleigh's 1st ever Tour de France and almost certainly the bike that Hennie rode (as World Champion) to TI-Raleigh's first ever TDF stage win (Stage 4)...

    Cees Priem 1979 TI-Raleigh Road Frame CP.1.79

I think this one has to go back to TI-Raleigh colours. I've got other TI team frames that were updated and painted in the later colours by the SBDU and because of that I'm leaving them in the later paint (I don't want to take off actual SBDU paint even though it is a later scheme). But this one...

    Cees Priem 1979 TI-Raleigh Road Frame CP.1.79

Yesterday I received a new Raleigh 753 frame all the way from Poland. It was a frame that popped up on eBay last week and I snapped it up at a very good price. It is stamped with the frame number CP.1.79 This is a frame built for TI-Raleigh rider Cees Priem As you can see, it has been...

    Joe Waugh year of manufacture?

Re: Re: I think you need to give people a chance to reply before doubting you will get one. I'm sure he has a lot to occupy his life now since his heyday of building frames and pretty sure he doesn't sit with a book of frame numbers waiting to receive and send replies. I've sent emails and...

    Joe Waugh year of manufacture?

Re: Re: It doesn't mean anything related to type of frame. If it was built for shop stock it might have just had one set as slightly quicker to build. If it was custom then it is down to the original customer to spec one set or two. I've got frames of all different categories with random one...

    Dura ace hs-7400 stem

If you look at the main spec it only shows 26.0mm but the small parts list, Item No 2, has a 25.4 & 26.0 push plate assembly part?

You can just about see the '4997' on the BB shell

    Joe Waugh year of manufacture?

I've seen lots of Joe Waugh frames with Columbus ends. Ends don't link in any way to tubing, I guess builders just had a preference. Dave has a sequential frame number sequence system. I had a late 80s 653 Joe Waugh numbered 4997. There are a few threads on Retrobike with dating info. One thread...

    New Addition 1979 Reynolds 753 SB3235

I'm actually hoping to get a 7100 group for a couple of builds. As this frame is used then thankfully the condition of the group doesn't need to be pristine, a used looking group would sit perfectly on this

    New Addition 1979 Reynolds 753 SB3235

This is frame number 38 in my little collection of SBDU frames. A 1979 original paint frame. It has all the typical features of this period SBDU 753 and is a perfect partner for SH377T, a 1977 Reynolds 753 Track frame in the same scheme
