    Sorted Boone chainrings

A little grime on them and not NOS condition but all 3 rings from days gone by.

    Sorted Boone chainrings

I have a very old set on a Bonty that is not used much nowadays. I'm in Cali so if you are in UK could be expensive to ship. They are in great condition. Shoot me an offer.

    Tyres, Tyres Tyres

I am in the US. I do buy stuff there when I need a hard to find item, didn't see you had them. Would have saved me some money on shipping too. Next sets will be through your site and likely some parts as well. And thanks again for contacting Terrance for me.

    Tyres, Tyres Tyres

Anyone have problems ordering Terra 1's from the website? I ordered 2 sets three weeks ago and they still have not arrived. Sent a few emails to him and no response. If you know this guy can you give him a nudge? He's not making a friend here.

    Cheap bottom bracket thread tool

I have this tool and it works great for chasing threads. I don't think it will cut new threads in anything but aluminum. I have used it 8 times in the last 3-4 years and it is holding up well. I was a machinist for 35 years and do have plenty of experience tapping all materials. It has paid for...

    Balance AL-450 build

Looks like the same crankset with a different name. What's the story on them?

1982 Cook Bros. Custom Fillet Brazed

That is by far the nicest Cook I have ever seen. Racing in the early-mid 70's with a modified Schwinn against Cook bikes had me lusting after them but no dough to buy one. There were LA teams always at local SF area races to promote their goods. Still want one with 26" wheels now. I'm so jealous...

Wheeler BSA - any info? Picture inside

Don't know anything about the bike but it sure looks industrial. Likely clued as most manufacturers did with those type of frames so do check carefully if you purchase. Seems there is a lockout on the rear shock, don't think I would use that, too much stress on a bike with so many "moving...

    Austrian Litespeed Find

Just a side note: Mark at NETGEAR, a friend, has a crazy collection of VW's. I've been to his private showings and he does have an open house every April. If you can make the journey to Cali, you should. He has lots that nobody else has.

    1991 Rocky Mountain Expert

I'm not big on repairing steel frames because there may be more work than you want to deal with and associated costs. Unless its a hard to get one. That being said, if it is a gem to you then go.

    Ibis Mojo

Just swapped a Bomber in for the Project 2 and some CK wheels for the XTR that were on it. What's the better look for the bike? I found that 2.2 tires fit very nicely in the rear with plenty of clearance, I think 2.3 will work as well.

There is a Rockhopper under there, honest guv

That bike is what any bike built with newish parts should look like. Fantastic job. BTW, your wheel truing stand is another piece of art, wow! Never seen that one, is it your creation?

    Kona fluted bars

I just broke down a Kona Lava Dome I've had for a long time , have had a handful of Kona's over the years, and when I popped off the grips I was surprised to see that the bars are fluted. I have to assume that the bike is all original at the stage you see it. Was curious why so many bars were...

    Fisher Super Caliber done

Found the parts for this off of a Mongoose Rockadile of all places, bike was going to be another loop tail for the collection but after cleanup the headtube was cracked so now it's a wall hanger. Mostly M737 build, rebuilt Judy XC which suspends now, only post I had that fit the frame but it...

    Slingshot

All set with the weird bike now. Full M900 build, Ringle hubs and a nice no logo CK headset. Just need a cap for the stem, 1" caps are not things I have, eBay I suppose.

    Slingshot

Lost the Mag fork, installed the Halson. Have the elastomers in the mail. Not sure about the Salsa stem though, skinny little thing compared to the rest of the bike. Halson boots were toast so found some Amazon things that matched up with diameters for tubes, crazy. Advice, stick with the stem...

    2 for 1

A bit more proper front end, rebuild kit for the Judy arrived today and was installed. Added the beef to the front end that the Mag lacked. Still a under achieving fork but it's a 95 like the bike so it's staying on there. Spent $90 to get it rebuilt to include that silly damper that will blow...

    2 for 1

So far so good. Have fixed the right shifter, need to rebuild the fork when the parts arrive. Full XT M737 build on it now with exception of front hub, headset and post, post will be swapped for a silver Control Tech to match the stem. The fork on there is so I could route cables and get the...

    2 for 1

Another Mongoose with a crack, swing arm this time, headtube is fine. Hope it can be repaired, had plans for this one. Came as a complete bike and tore it down to deep clean it and noticed the crack, bummed me. Serial number is 3148 if anyone knows what year would be great to know. Also, not...

    2 for 1

Added a little pop to the frame, no repaint, just a quality clearcoat. Pops now as was when it was new but with all the scars. Decided to do a full XT M737 build and guess where a lot of the parts are coming from? That fork from the Mongoose is going on too, after a complete overhaul. Only part...
