Splatter Cinder Cone with A.I. description

Here's another daft AI description, but for an explosif and in my size by the looks of it 🥹 Miles away though...

Splatter Cinder Cone with A.I. description

In the spirit of ebay, should have listed for £250 and claimed that it's a designer piece.

Splatter Cinder Cone with A.I. description

That's the only sensible line in the whole AI description. ...Are you sure you're on the right forum, mate?

Splatter Cinder Cone with A.I. description

It makes me very sad to read the "AI" - generated crap. What makes me even sadder is that people are using this shite and genuinely believe this is "progress" and this is the future. Bring back the days when "Artificial Intelligence" referred to a blonde who dyed her roots black.

Mantis Jawbone with a petrol engine strapped on. Just because you can...

So, electric MTBs are the best thing since sliced bread, but when a talented engineer installs a lawnmower engine on his enduro machine, he's in for the Darwin award?

    Cyclocross canti question.

I've got a set of tektro jobbies that go very low, but Frannie is currently wearing them. Deore V-brakes arriving any day now and if I can get them to work, you can have the tektros. They are anodized red though.

Karma Karma(ish) Specialized Hotrock FSR Mini Enduro Bike!

That is a stunning kid's bike. I've got mine on cyclocross bikes, and we don't do much off-roading yet, but some kid will be extremely happy with it.

Pretty sure it's an Orbit, mate.

    Kona Explosif

To be fair to the guy, it's a complete bike and 20" konas seem to be quite rare in the UK. Shame about the forks though. There's an 18" badly scratched & rusty explosif frameset on offer for the same price on fleabay.

£20 Saracen estay down in Devon

I'm all road these days. Not a single MTB bit, so I'm really better off picking up something local and complete. Thank you for the offer though.

    Box Three Prime 9 conversions

The gear selection process is as follows: - Figure out the lowest gearing you regularly need before it's easier to chuck the bike on your shoulder & run up the hill. - Get the widest rear cassette you're comfortable with. - Your lowest cog's teeth decide the narrow-wide chainring size...

    Box Three Prime 9 conversions

I've switched to 1x9 and never looked back. This kit seems quite interesting. In fact, very interesting for an MTB. For road & gravel: I run a shimergo set-up on my bikes. Campy 10sp brifters, shimmy/micronew 9sp read mech, 9sp 11-34 SRAM 990 cassette, cheap Chinese "Deckas" narrow-wide...

    Bent aluminum hanger. Help please!

Yep, the compass alignment tool is the way to go. Very cheap ones are not very accurate, but for 7-8-9 speeds you don't need to be perfectly accurate. Aluminium might crack very easily when bending back. (Steel is real, my friend. Steel is real.) If that happens, your two options are to either...

Have you ever tried modern groupsets outside of the big three? (Shimano, Campag, SRAM)

I've had 2 sets of 9-speed Micronew (budget line of Microshift? o_O ) brifters, they worked very well with shimano mech and brakes. One set was on a commuter bike and they've done several thousand miles in all-weather conditions and survived a few acciddents. Never skipped a beat. I prefer them...

my logic with cable disc brakes and why they don't work well on drop bar levers, am i right?

Never had SRAM brifters - I wonder if they have a different cable pull 🤔

my logic with cable disc brakes and why they don't work well on drop bar levers, am i right?

Just out of interest, what levers are you using? I've done several thousand miles on BB7road and Spyre road and at the best of times they were barely acceptable and significantly worse than rim brakes.
