    show us your Rocky Mountains!

That’s a nice bike. I noticed the Nokon cables. I’ve used them before as well. I like the look. I also noticed you had to pad them to protect the contact points. Nice touch. That would be nice to see the white fork, nice change.

    show us your Rocky Mountains!

Call me weird that a bike that isn’t yet complete. is going to be stripped and painted. Is half a year away from completion. Gets my heart rate up and blood pressure pumping! 😂😅😜 I had to mock it up to my size and fitment to see how it would look. I can tell it’s going to ride awesome. I’m...

    1989 Rock Mountain Blizzard Slope

Very nice find! I have a love of these early Rocky bikes with radical sloping top tubes and U Brake forks! I have also started a 1994 Blizzard Project and will be watching your build carefully.

    Unusual Kona models or colours

I would have to add the "Mustard" color of the 1997 Explosif is an unusual color. Its actually very striking to the point that it pains me to repaint and I'll leave it as is

91 Rocky Mountain "Glacier" / Blizzard

Thinking about it some more my 94 may not have another option as they is no vertical cable stop for the FD on the center of the seat tube to be ran from the left side and it must be on the right side as that is where the cable stop is vertically

91 Rocky Mountain "Glacier" / Blizzard

Looks awesome. I noticed your RD cable runs along the right side. Other pictures I’ve saw of the Blizz show the FD running along the right side with a short 90 piece of cable from top tube to seat tube. I was wondering which way was best. Yours seems more logical.

1997 Kona Explosif - Mustard Color ID

I wished it was as close as the cap color would suggest. It’s more gold than orange. In my shop it looks close but out in the bright sunlight it’s gold 🥲

1997 Kona Explosif - Mustard Color ID

For anybody in the same boat, this is the closest I have found so far. It’s more gold than orange but it hides the bare metal and the white base of the Mustard color. I got it at Canadian Tire.

1997 Kona Explosif - Mustard Color ID

Ha ha I hear where your’e coming from! I do like the the whole rebuild process. But at minimal I do have to touch it up, even if it’s not a close match, thst just how I feel about that. Enjoy your coffee, I appreciate the the ramble, thanks!

1997 Kona Explosif - Mustard Color ID

I don't think repainting would affect the steel, not painting the would affect the steel more, as there are open spots :( I already have the decal kit. I have repainted and re-decaled frames in the past. This is a hard color to replicate, so yeah, if I could get a nice matching tough up, I...
