Being right next door to the USA (so to speak), there are some incredible bikes available down there. HOWEVER, with the exchange rate, then postage to the border, then arranging a private courier to pick it up and bring it across, plus duty charges, the fun is taken out of it.

Here is my number one ride (the bike I use for 90% of the time), a "Sage". It used to have different bars and stem, until the handlebars cracked at the stem junction! Cromo handelbars too. No injuries, thankfully.

I can't seem to find too much information on Hybrid bikes here on RB. I'd like to suggest a sticky to be made under Road(?) bikes in order to facilitate concentrated discussion. Maybe they weren't very popular in Europe but were over in North America for a time.
