Ha, there was a period of around 3 years where I had a super weird setup of nitto promenade handlebars and super old fully plastic Sachs non indexed thumb shifters. But then I put on a more conventional Easton monkeybar paired with some Shimano (rapidfire?) Shifters.

Do you know if middle rings need to be middle rings? Most of the the I saw a lot in 39t but they seemed to be the outer rings for cyclo-cross doubles.

If anyone is concerned about lack of disc brake on this sort of bike. Just from personal experience, a V brake is more than fine on a dirt jumper or four cross kind of bike. Just like how pro elite BMX race bikes are fine on V brakes too. And it allows you to run a long cable for barspinz 🤘

Ooh nice, I'm v tempted and could collect too. But because I've just started several bike projects and trying to buy appliances for a house I probably shouldn't. Macclesfield seems lovely for cycling btw, it seems like it would be a real nice trip to come collect and then go on a long ride.

After two front hubs on the cheap, need not be pretty or fancy. They are actually for a non bike project. Axles and a dead fork to salvage the mounts of could be useful too.

Thanks, I did actually find that already but according to the chart the frame would be on big side for me, and I have always favoured smaller frames. I was hoping that 2manyoranges found it to be a smaller than usual medium

Unusual question but how long steerer is needed for this frame ? (I have another fork I want to put on it) Also as it's currently setup, what side of rider would you say it suits ? Cheers

Re: To all those that might be wary of getting a crankset a little heavier than the usual mtb fare. You need these type of cranks if you want to do crank grinds, which are a fun and not too hard trick to do. Aluminium cranks get chewed up and nasty.
