    Shimano 7sp / mavic wheels

I have a front open4cd on shimano 600 hub in good condition. Comes with tanwall 20c conti tyre that looks like a tub.

An 8 speed shimano freehub + 130mm axle assembly.

This could all be contained in an old hub, but these are the bits I need; including all the cones and locknuts.

Clearout - Campag, brakes, saddles, wheels, deraillers, bits

I dont suppose you have an axle assembly to go with that freehub?

    rear wheel 8spd

I am considering these, but I will wait a little longer to see if a wider rim comes up. Regular road rims are like 18mm width. Touring/hybrid rims tend to be 24mm and that is what I am really after.

    rear wheel 8spd

After a rear wheel with 8 speed shimano compatibility. A wider touring-ish rims preferred. But priority is that the braking surface is in excellent condition.

    Freewheel 6 speed with 12 or 13t

I have never used a freewheel with alloy cogs before, might not be the best choice for my daily beater. Also the tool for malliard is difficult to get hold of.

    WTD: 3x8/3x9 Shimano Shifters (SORTED)

They do work, that what I have on my bike right now. For the chain to go up onto my largest ring (mega range) it takes two clicks. So it cancels out the extra click and it works pretty well. I reckon for a standard cassette you just set your limits screws so that the last shift cannot push the...

    DEORE THUMBSHIFTERS SOLD.

Thanks for holding them, mind me asking how many clicks these have? (even though I said I initially wanted friction!)

    Thumbshifters any speed

After some decent quality thumbshifters, happy to go with any speed as I will only be using friction mode. Dont really want to spend more than £20. Let me know if you have something suitable, thanks.

Deore XT Thumb Shifters SL-M732 8 speed?

I have 8 speed friction on my road bike. Its a bit tricky to shift accurately, but is loads more reliable I guess. How do you lot fair running 8 speed+ in friction mode for MTB's?

Deore XT Thumb Shifters SL-M732 8 speed?

Thanks everyone for this thread, you have just saved me from potential days of hunting for only moderately extortionate priced XT thumbies. I am currently running a 9 speed rapidfire with 8 speed cassette which is a bit of a faff, difficult to get the indexing right. I thought these would...

LX shifters, wheels, hope, dp22, brooks

Its an MTB rear so the spacing is going to be 135mm right? Why do you want a specific axle length? I can do it it you really really need it. It seems like I can get £10 for 20kg courier service on ebay. So £10 is my max postage cost.

LX shifters, wheels, hope, dp22, brooks

I have no idea of what it is worth. How about £45 ? which I guess would equate to £55 posted If this is too high for you, suggest a price and Ill see what others offer.
