    Kinesis Tripster AT

Re: Looks good. I've been really happy with my Kinesis (FF29). I wouldn't have drop bars though -terrifying things!

Re: Looks good. I am also using Chinese carbon forks and they have been fine after hundreds of miles despite being worryingly light!

    Lapierre Zesty 927 Ultimate

Re: Thats exactly the problem I am having; dropping a couple of cogs when pedalling backwards. I have no spacers with the pressfit bb but when I bought the cranks both rings were mounted inboard of the spider with a plastic spacer between them. I sold the spacer with the rings unfortunately...

    Lapierre Zesty 927 Ultimate

Re: Yeah the chainline is another problem, needs to moving in 3 to 4mm I think. So I can't really even use the lowest gears at the moment anyway!

    Lapierre Zesty 927 Ultimate

Re: Took it for a longer ride today and the biggest cog I got upto was the 28. A 38 or 40 ring would make better use of the available range I think

    Lapierre Zesty 927 Ultimate

This is my 2015 Lapierre Zesty 927 Ultimate that I just finished this morning. The bike from which the frame derives sold for £5400. I built this for less than £1200 with a mixture of new and used parts. Only been a brief ride and really pleased with it so far. A 34t chainring is woefully...

Marzocchi fork 2002 - Any good?

Re: You won't find any mtb specific suspension forks from the early 2000's. Maybe some awful hybrid forks but that's about it. Modern 29ers didn't really happen until about 5 years ago. Just to be clear, that Marzocchi fork is for 26" wheels.

Good buy. I thought about getting it myself as the seller is pretty much just around the corner from me iirc. Decided I didn't really have a use for it though. Enjoy.

1999 Cannondale Ashton Signature Edition Build

Re: Re: Numerous benefits! Larger, stronger bearings that facilitate a much larger diameter axle which can then be made lighter and stiffer for the same weight. A major plus point for me is the simplicity of fitting and removal. Removing a stubborn old square taper bb from a frame can be...

Ibis Mojo Carbon 2010 Size Small

2010 Ibis Mojo Carbon in size small. 140mm travel from a Fox RP23. Stunning frame in fantastic condition. I have stripped it right back, cleaned and lightly greased all of the bearings. There are no creaks or play in the moving parts. No damage to the carbon at all with only a few small...

1999 Cannondale Ashton Signature Edition Build

Re: Excellent work getting it together. The only thing I would change are the cranks/bb - I like the look of them but I would never go back to internal bearing bb's now.

2000 kona blast + carrera fury = an Orange P7

Re: strip the carrera and sell everything. The Z1's are nice but now 20 years old and getting service parts is tough. Use the profits to buy some decent wheels and forks for the kona
