I'm near Northampton/MK. I did find a good spoke length calculator online so may check the spoke length when I get a few minutes.

This is what I thought, my guess is that they were not built by a professional. Getting wheels built is expensive, last set cost £200, so I'd love to learn how to do my own.

I think it's sorted. I checked the BB width and it's definitely 68mm. I moved 1 spacer onto the NDS and the chainline looks better. Small to large clears the tyre fine, middle looks straight going to 5 and large to small lines up quite nicely. I think I'll leave it like that. Thanks for all...

So I've measured the middle chainring to center of seat tube an it's dead on 50mm. Next I put on the cassette and tested the chain line with an old chain. The straightest on the middle is to the 7th gear, I think it should be the 5th. Small to small looks reasonably straight, just a little...

Chainline looks wrong on my current build, any idea how I can bring it in a bit? I have a Hope BB with XT Hollowtech 2 cranks and the chainline looks to be at least 5mm too far out. I can't remove the spacers as the axle pokes out the other side unless I stack them all on the non-drive side...
