Curtis Racelite - single speed jumper

I picked up the freshly powdercoated frame which I had done in the original colour. It looks really nice after I applied fresh decals. Now I just need some time to complete the assembly.

Bargain, shame it's too far away.

    Curtis SuperX 2001

I've managed to get a stem I like. Saw a 25.4mm DMR stem (I know the faceplate is upside down) which is the same era as the chainring so will match nicely. I like that it has a hidden clamp which gives it a clean look.

    2000 schwinn homegrown pro restoration

I really like these and yours looks very nice. I've always got an eye out for one. I think they were one of the lightest frames avaliable at the time and the last decent frame Schwinn made.

Cheap Alpinestars Cro Mega on marketplace

Yes it was, it looked a right state. Worth a punt at £20, pushing it at £100.

Cheap Alpinestars Cro Mega on marketplace

Very cheap but something tells me it has a stuck seatpost. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1202823044476876/

I really want a set of these, just a shame that I'm a bit short on funds at the moment. Good luck with the sale.

    Curtis SuperX 2001

Recently I received a care package from Dr-Zocchi (highly recommended) so I can rebuild some of my forks, this included an FS to IS adapter for this project. I can now test fit the front brake, this showed that a little material needed to be filed off so the the bolt holes would line up. It...

    Sold 1998 Marzocchi Z2 Alloy

Quite a nice set of Z2s in Good condition. Stanctions look clean and unmarked, there are some paint chips and the crown could do with a polish. The seem to work well with no apparent leaks but may benefit a service. 190mm steerer. £50 posted or £40 if collected (near J15 M1)

    Sintesi Snake projects

The contis will probably be getting binned as the sidewalls are quite perished and the tread on the rear is pretty bald. They are a good tyre off road but found them lethal on tarmac, felt like riding on Ice. I may replace with XC Fire Pros as they are quite cheap.

    Sintesi Snake projects

Had a test ride round the block and it's really nice, surprisingly light and quick to get upto speed. A very capable addition to the stable. I think it need new tyres and wheels trued.

Put the front brake on. Last thing to do is sort out the hoses, considering getting a bike shop to do it as I don't have any experience with Hayes brakes.

    Sintesi Snake projects

I have found a solution to my steer tube problem. I originally wanted to get the long steer tube moved from the Z1 crown to the z2 crown. But I bought a broken set of Z1s cheap that I can get working so I can put these on the Snake. These look pretty good and look like they've slackened the...

Marzocchi forks refurb - paint options

I'm planning on refurbing some Marzocchi forks as they're in a bit of a sorry state. I'm planning on changing the colour so that they're close to Bomber orange. Option 1 is to do them at home. This might be quite rewarding if the finish comes out quite good. But might not be a cost effective...

    Karma Alpinestars Cro mega forks

Some forks that were on an Alpinestars Cro Mega E stay. Don't ask about the frame, it has a horrible repair to a crack and has a stuck seat post so is being turned into wall art. Free if collected from near Northampton or pay postage of £10.

Curtis Racelite - single speed jumper

This little frame has been built, rebuilt and now dismantled. The first build was how I wanted it, but on a budget. I put it together thinking about pump tracks and dirt jumps so had just a rear brake. Then my boy grew out of his kids bike and I changed it a bit, I got some DMR Drone forks...

    Sintesi Snake projects

I've not seen another one in the wild, the Snake was about the time Sintesi went downhill. I do love Marzocchi forks and it makes sense to have them on an Italian frame. The Z1s are currently on my Curtis SuperX but with the Z2 crowns fitted. I want to get the steer tubes swapped at some point.
