    Best Find at the Dump?

You'll see a man in a stripey jumper, black gloves, answers to the name of 'Gus'. Get me a Linn Hifi while you're out.

    Best Find at the Dump?

Weirdest thing ever was two boxes (24) of Sirop de Monin (posh flavoured Sirop for coffee and liqueurs). The boxes were bashed to hell but the plastic bottles were all good. It was expensive stuff God knows how it got there, but the seals were intact and it was in date. I had some tasty coffees...

Withdrawn Antonin Magne 1951 Duralumin Frame

Would be a shame for this to go to a Japanese collector - they've got all the good stuff! (my wife is hovering over my shoulder, she knows that Retrobike means trouble 😁)

    Best Find at the Dump?

I once found a Gaggia Mini coffee machine outside in the street next to a broken microwave oven. People don't know anything about them, theres a very thin rubber seal in the gasket that's hard to get at with small Allen keys, it costs £3. Your 'broken' Gaggia is mine now! (Works like dream)

Frame Designs that Shouldn't Work but Do!

Blimey that Hotta brings back some memories, it was the first carbon bike I'd seen at our local TT. Only guy who could afford one was a double glazing magnate (similar to a fridge one!). It was pink and white as I remember. I was not in the least bit jealous 😁

Frame Designs that Shouldn't Work but Do!

Interesting fast fact, although the Textima frames were built and designed in East Germany by Diamant/Textima they weren't allowed any decals or advertising whatsoever at international evnts so the bikes were usually done up in a boring DDR battleship blue!

Frame Designs that Shouldn't Work but Do!

This is probably my all time favourite, DDR Textima TT bike, with hand made direct mount front brake mounted behind the fork, aero bars direct attached to the frame, brake cable routed through and out the seat post and curved tubing!

Reduced Colnago Mega Master Azzure Blue 55cm with h/set

Recently purchased Mega Master with specially drawn Altec tubes in the iconic Colnago Master Gilco format. Deep Azzure electric blue, this was going to be my summer go-to vintage but just a tad too big at 55cm (centre to centre). Shame because it looks great in sunshine. Sold with a brand new...
