2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 Team Issue - Repair and Restomod

Was thinking it’d be quite nice not to hide everything you’ve done completely under some paint. I’d call that paint on the Oiz 60% opaque. 80-90% opaque would look good on your Trek I reckon.

Is it too late for a somewhat see-through smokey black clear coat that does not quite cover the carbon weave?

It got built in January 2015. HA 65°, SA 75°, 460mm reach, 430mm chainstay, 150mm fork, 305mm BB height, if I remember correctly. Please do share your thoughts on the Cube vs. the Pace.

I have not seen Stanton frames come up for sale used much at all, let alone Ti frames. Got any photos of your bike(s)? Feel free to share them in this thread.

    My hardtail journey

I like hardtails. Back in 2012 I had the chance to try a Production Privee Shan, the arguably original euro 26" hardcore hardtail. It belonged to a friend that I visited. Such a beautiful bike and the ride was sublime... We went to get some drinks late at night, he told me to try to manual, so I...

    1993 Brodie Catalyst

It's likely that I would notice, but had no chance to ride on any loose surface since the swap yet. Took that pic the morning before changing the tyres.

Swapped tyres, as the rear one has lost about half of its tread already. While refitting the tyre to the front wheel the inner tube exploded. Quite unpleasant sensation, but could be worse.

I hope they stay active. They've got a great product. I've got three of these posts in my bikes. All were bought used, some hardware (delrin) was changed and they all still work. Despite being nearly 10 years old each.

That's a Gravity Dropper dropper post, actuated by that knob sticking out the back. Probably not that nice to look at, but still a great design as these dropper posts are very reliable and relatively light. I like them a lot.

1995 Vario No Limit downhill prototype

Fork offset became a bit of a thing in the last few years and there now are options. I tried to get my head around fork offset and I got this far: - more offset -> less force needed to turn the bars -> easier to ride hands-free -> more cornering with less lean -> less stability at higher speeds...

Just reallised that you can set the fork offset on these. What a neat feature!

2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 Team Issue - Repair and Restomod

Sure. I've had the frame for a couple years and put it through quite a number of different iterations. It's been taken apart now because I got a nicer frame ;)

2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 Team Issue - Repair and Restomod

I'm pretty sure there were no 4 piston calipers for that era of XTR. Only Zee and Saint had them back then. 'Trail' version meant Servo Wave and finned pads, as mentioned in that link to MTBR.
