Kona Hot for my Ritchey Ultra???

Just curious: How is a bike with two more gears and better brakes less versatile? :) Looks like you're trying to sell you Ritchey anyway, right? @HuskyDinoBomber I'd say the Ritchey is worth more than the Kona. So a 1:1 trade would arguably not be a great deal.

I'd be guessing it's a Velo Orange stem for 31.8mm bars.

I had one at some point, I think. Aren't they called Velocirapter or sth? Really nice stems. Sold it unfortunately. I would not like a welded aluminium stem on this bike, though. Also all of the ones I saw were for 1" steerers...

Kona Kula 2000 - New member, first build thread

Aesthetics are one thing, but a dropper remote is meant to be used with the hand on the grip, so that you can use it more often and do not need to plan ahead. Kind of defeats the purpose, I'd say. There are many different and also inexpensive remote levers available on the market. I'd suggest...

That is sweet! Is the down tube welded to the head tube but the top tube brazed? Was this repaired at some point or is this the way it was made by MG?

Took a wrong turn on my way to work yesterday. Very unfortunate. Even has some vintage content: XC Pro cranks, XT BB and some unbranded Ti chainring.

Reaming the seat tube to 27.2mm would make it even lighter! :) Cool project! Looking forward for more.

1992 GT PANTERA. project. BB update. frame is saved! 11/11

I once had a Ritchey Logic fork where both brake bosses had mushroomed ends, from over-tightening the bolts. This was when I had no clue how things worked, so I took it to the LBS for some advice. The chap there was adamant that the bosses where threaded. So he took a big pair of pliers and...

Interesting fork choice. I did an internship at German:A a good number of years ago. Quite memorable, for many reasons. How is the fork performing?

I‘ll be sending the stem back to Paul. On another note these hubs popped up and were duly secured. In case the XTR hubs need to be replaced. Can anybody tell me whether the freehub body needs to be this 'floaty'? Or is there a spacer missing? Bearings were likely changed not too long ago...

It‘s called spirit level. I did not. I saw the misalignment by eye. Putting it on the clamp itself would be less accurate. So no need to do so.
