    2020 Transition Spur

By the way, that glove compartment under the top tube is a neoprene pencil case with two holes added so it mounts to the accessory bosses.

    2020 Transition Spur

I occasionally changed the stem, bars, seat and pedals but overall it had stayed relatively unchanged since August 2021. And what fun is that? So I decided to take off the trouble-free drivetrain and convert this thing to singlespeed. But not the easy way with the tensioner in place of the...

    2020 Transition Spur

I've got this thing in late 2020 and it is one great piece of kit. The frame and fork came from Switzerland, barely used by the previous owner, which seemed to be more sensible than getting a complete bike and changing most of its parts to my liking. I did not think this through though. Import...

I'd suggest M6 bolts and 50mm to be safe. For spacers: Try looking for aluminium stand off spacers for M6 bolts. You'll need about 15mm to 20mm to clear the brake.

I like it. Not as slender as the red one, but this makes the MacRide mounting bracket blend in a little better.

The new stem. I decided to buy local. 31.8mm single bolt clamp for sleek looks and high rise bar compatibility. The silver cap is a plate of stainless steel held in place by two magnets. The steerer clamp bolt is hidden inside and cannot be replaced, as far as I can tell.

Good to see the front tyre is on the right way now ;) Got any close-ups of the rear brake adapter? I don't think I ever saw one that positions the caliper below the chainstay.

Good point. That's not what I was trying to do with my comment...Communicating over the internet can be hard.

Well....looks like Race Face does not sell chainrings with different offsets. Could not find any info on different offset chainrings on their site. It's likely your chainline is set by the spindle length of your cranks and should be 52mm. https://www.raceface.com/pages/crank-selection-guide...

Cool bike! Are you sure the chain is as short as it can be?

Good question. And he had no answer when I contacted him. At least we know now. Believe it or not I could tell it wasn't dead straight from eye-balling over the top of it.

You need a hook wrench for that lock ring and likely a chain whip to remove it. Chainring looks like a 3mm offset one. But take it off that crankarm. It says '30t' right where it touches the crank. That's likely where all the specs are listed.
