Hi folks, looking for pretty much a complete M730 XT II groupset from 89.
175mm chainset with good condition biopace rings ideally (round considered obviously), thumbies, etc.
Definitely need a good condition XT u-brake.
Thanks
Nothing looks better than a Flite on a period bike, and I have them on all my bikes as they offer just the right amount of comfort. I originally used Turbo's in the late 80's but having tried one for a period on my turbo training bike it was too unforgiving. Vetta SL's quite nice too.
Not tried...
- Anything that's been resprayed to look new again
- Anything that was lower grade BITD (i.e. poorer quality frame materials and cheaper components)
- Purple anodized shit
- Huge flat modern pedals (picky as I know they can be changed, but i don't want to pay for them initially)
- Colourful...
Ooh ooh! The same seller has these going as well and in my size! Rockhopper or boots? I just can't decide.

Ah, you've confused timewarp to mean the same as mint. What the seller means is that he's left the original grease, muck and general wear and tear on from 'back in the day' and you're going to pay handsomely for that authenticity...or maybe not.
All very fancy, but like a lot of these show bikes hard use of these components in a race situation would show their inferiority to Shimano despite their superior cost.
I had a naked carbon one of these in '97. Having come of a very similar looking Trek OCLV previously, I found the MCM was heavier and a bit less responsive. But it's all relative and still a nice bike.
Don't be so cynical now. We also all know that Cannondales are prone to rusting as the seller states. And that was a special model with 23" wheels. And if he has that in his possession I'll eat my pedals.
