On public roads, definitely. This was bliss, no cars, no junctions, no potholes, no crappy repairs to the tarmac. Even the sun came out later on, though being an ex-airfield does mean that you can’t escape the wind.

Bit different today. Got to ride the Grubb on one of the test tracks at work. 4km a laps, on perfect tarmac. Do we need a “Bikes and Banking” or “Bikes and Test Tracks” thread?

I snuck what is technically a culvert in, so weirs are good in my view if they have a “bridgey” bit.
