My '97 Jet Stream

My '92 Sky repurposed as a "gravel" / commuter / everything bike with a mix of 600EX and Ultegra parts from the "spares" crates.

I've only ever sold two mountainbikes: 1991 Marin Bear Valley - sold to fund the purchase of my first Breezer (the '92 Storm) 1994 Kona Kilauea with MX500 forks (bought as a staff deal when I was working at John's Bikes in Bath) - I just couldn't get on with the geometry and the "in house"...

Not quite a Mullet, but I do run a few bikes (DeKerf UK Ltd, DeKerf Singlespeed, Fisher Sugar Team, Breezer Jet Stream) with 26"x2.5" Vittoria Mota tyres at the front and 26"x2.2" Schwalbe Nobby Nic's at the rear, giving a larger effective diameter at the front (with seemingly infinite grip).

Having looked at the post on the back-story, my vote goes to Staffy's Prometheus. It isn't a bike that has ever been on my radar, but the story and effort to get it back to where it is deserves reward.

And the Breezer in the picture is Number 2 (now "resident" in the Mountainbike Hall Of Fame Museum in Fairfax, Ca.)

It is fun. Total outlay was <£100 (frame was £50 + p&p, only other thing I needed to buy was the headset as the frame has a tapered head tube).

An early incarnation. It now has a shorter (50mm FUNN) stem, black V8 pedals and the Stronglight chainring.
