Wanted A single Specialized Ground Control tyre

I have this More Extreme with only about 10 miles use and “like new” suppleness of tread and sidewalls. It had sat in the nice cool basement at Bromley Bike until about 2 or 3 years ago.

Build date information on my 2 Breezers...

My Jet Stream is built up with '99 M750 9 speed XT. Because, if I had owned it since '97, that is what I would have upgraded it to as soon as I could afford to. It also has Fox F80 RLC forks (because I like going round corners better than Judy XCs ever let me), Tubeless Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25"...

Build date information on my 2 Breezers...

The Jet Stream frame is very similar to the Lightning, but was built up to a complete bike with an M539 XT groupset rather than the XTR on the Lightning, with a Judy XC suspension fork, and (mostly) Ritchey (WCS?) finishing kit (stem, handlebars, seatpost, etc.)

Sorted Left hand (front) trigger shifter

Thanks for the reply d8mok, but XT level of kit would be wasted on this bike. At the moment I'm thinking of going for the Decathlon product: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/3-speed-derailleur-shifter/_/R-p-311693?mc=8555774 which is available on the shelf in my local store.

BoTM Bike of The Month June 2023 - now taking entries (again)

You were absolutely correct. I was referring your responses, and suggesting that you might like a little bit of "alone time" ;)

Sorted Left hand (front) trigger shifter

I'm looking for a Left Hand (3x) Shimano trigger shifter to put on my niece's bike. Just the shifter pod and clamp, please. Anything considered. Aesthetics and groupset not important, functionality very important. W.H.Y?

The best thing I ever got from cycling was..

Endorphines and groups of friends who have been/are prepared to listen (and not judge) when I've been at my lowest ebb. Between them, those two things have probably kept me on this planet.

Sorry, I no longer have it. I think that old post resulted in the sale. Good luck with your hunt.

    I've never?

...been a fan of classic Kona geometry. I just never got one to quite fit "right". I even spent an entire day at 2nd Level Sport (I waas friends with one of the sales reps) changing bits on demo Explosives and Kilaueas to try to get them so I was comfortable. Does riding Slickrock Trail one day and then Amasa Back the next evening with Joe Breeze, Tom Ritchey, and Otis Guy count?

I saw Tom Ritchey break one on the Slickrock Trail in Moab in October 1993. We were riding with Joe Breeze, Otis Guy and a few others.

Am I insane? Classic car content

Yes, you are insane. Welcome aboard. Follow the advice given above, plus: Join (at least) one of the marque specialist clubs, carry a spare fuel pump, a distributer and a set of points. Those and one of the new-fangled jump start kits will probably get you out of most roadside issues.
