    Caramba Crankset And Kooka Crankset

I think the sidewinders were fine. The Double Barrels were inconsistent from what I read. Drilling those long bores along the length didn't always go well and they ended up thinner than planned in areas.

    Caramba Crankset And Kooka Crankset

Both were pretty cool cranks and were known to be fragile. Kooka had bigger production numbers, and more variety of colours. If it we me it would come down whichever I could find at a reasonable price.

    RST Mozo Pro

It was a good fork from what I heard but the brand perception was poor because of all the low end bikes with their OEM forks. I would assume Suntour is dealing with the same problem now with their attempts to sell higher end forks.

    Coolest brake levers - opinions!?

I always liked Kooka levers but Box had to be the best.

    GT STS -2 DH

There was no STS - 2 DH. There were 3 models available at one time. The DH frame was different from the others. Both regular STS frames were the same but with a different model of Rock Shox coil. STS DH STS - 1 STS - 2 We would need to see photos and a year for the frame to get a better idea...

Restored RS Mag 21 SL Titanium Forks

Great work. I would love to know your process for these forks.

    Kona Misser replica 1997

Since it is a Turner made frame would it not be bushings instead of bearings? I thought I saw a grease port in one of your pictures. If you are running early discs I would think the key is to use matchings hubs from the same manufacturer. Standards were still being worked out at the time so...

    Kcnc vb1 brakes help

I can't think of any common parts you could use to replace it. Maybe some of the other CNC v-brakes like Control Tech used a similar part but that would be rare to be as well.

    Kcnc vb1 brakes help

If you use housing such as I-Links you can get rid of the noodle and curve the housing right into gold part in your picture above. Looks cleaner and offers a negligible weight savings.

    Amp and Syncros Spares

The bearings should be a standard size and fairly easy to get.

    BotM May 2020 nominations - u-brake/rollercam special

From what I can recall it is an early 90's frame.

Must be a custom mount for the rear shock?

Where did all the good stuff go?

That would be ideal but I'm on the other side of the ocean, shipping would be $$$.

Where did all the good stuff go?

I was trying to find a decent light and short 25.4mm stem for my sons bike and could not believe how few options there are now. When did 31.8 fully take over?

    Some interesting parts!

What's going on with the rear spokes? Are my eyes just playing tricks on me?

    Why did I sell it?

I've only sold 3 bikes in the last 25 years and regret everyone of them.

STEALTHY BUILD - Dekerf Team SoftTail

Re: I have the Ti stay version (serial # in the upper 1900's from what I recall) and while flexy it is a beautiful bike to ride. What you describe sounds right for taking it apart. I destroyed my shock on a rainy night ride in sandy trails so Dekerf made me a new shaft and spare seals and...
