Nice build! I've been working on a similar project for my son with a tiny Giant XTC bike I got pretty cheap - it also just happened to have a 1st gen set of CrossMax wheels on it for me. What did you end up with for gearing and crank length?

I thought about converting a bike to single speed just to be able to throw another entry in.

I had the yellow but with a polished spider. My bike build changed last minute and the yellow Judy SL became a red Judy DH, so the cranks never matched anything.

Wow! I do not remember the rear end being thermoplastic as well.

I had a build in mind to enter but never got it done. I now regret not taking a pic a different bike in front of our burning Christmas tree.

I sold an almost exact copy of that bike in mint shape for far less. :(
